I love when Daniel gets that crazed, mad-man sound in his vocals like when he says "alibi." Especially the second time he says it. So much emotion :D
It's so apparent that Rossen FEELS the music while playing. So fresh
RIDICULOUS, outrageous talent. Love these guys, love Grizzly Bear.
Love it. Sounds a lot like "All We Ask". I like the different sound.
Wow! this version is wild. I connect to this version of the song in a different way than I do the recording. I love both of them!
I'll be forever grateful to Starbucks and their little free music coupons they had back in '08 which brought me onto this song - and I couldn't even use it cause I was just visiting the US. But those were some of the best 0,99$ I ever invested.

so random and awesome haha. i found them via HIMYM
in ear park is one of my favorite albums of all time. daniel rossen is such an absolute legend. this track and album is just amazing
he's so beautiful...love the live versions...just as good and you get to watch his genius at play
Still does it for me !
I keep coming back here. Great song!
I just love this so much... They're amazing.
Love this song, found out about it just now from gossip girl s2, can't get enough omg😍
"Where's that noise coming from!??" *looks and listens from balcony window to the roof across the street* "..proceed."
Thanks Pitchfork!
One does not listen to Department of Eagles. One FEELS Department of Eagles.
sounds like a grizzly bear cover of doe which is obviously because of the lineup here, those guys leave such an incredible touch when playing together it will always sound like grizzly bear
Yeah, spot on listening. Both songs have a rising half-step guitar riff in there. Both great tunes.
i can hear what seems like bits and pieces of all we ask this is a good thing
Can't wait to see Grizzley Bear in Manchester in a couple of weeks !!
Wow! Sounds different from the album version which is also great. Was this roof top session put onto an album?
lovely stuff
yep this is my favourite youtube vid atm ;)
Unreal. They need to put this band back together!
He's pretty big on recurring motifs. The chord progressions in his early DOE stuff sound like some in YH, and the same parallel falls in Veck.
Good to find more songs from Grizzly Bear even if it´s not really Grizzly Bear

leaftechno well lets be honest. It's GB +1 right? The Dead was still the Dead, with or without the wailing crone that people call Donna Jean.
What mic is that?
The refrain is so fucking good in this version
Still in love

Same !
What's the added lyrics at the end?
So who has links for this whole set?
The remind me a lot of Grizzlie Bear, also i think they like me better, great songs
This is before "While you wait for the others"
Daniel Rossen was this close to my apartment and I missed it?!?

Man, that's rough.
2/3rds of GB feat. Fred Nicholaus is more like it, hahaha
They were, but then it just turned into Daniel Rossen's solo album
Hmm interesting fact, sounds like "All we ask" too.
Hey, so does anyone know if Daniel has a gf??

Sounds really similar to "While you wait for the others" a song I love... but it makes this sound less original
