There's a handful of actors that could pull off the Equalizer movies but honestly no one could do them better than Denzel.

I agree with you 100%. This type of revenge/retaliation only works when the lead actor has an inexplicable aura that is just natural to him. Denzel's face and his big stature and how he delivers this lines make him the perfect for these kinds of genre. Revenge film becomes lame if the actor is not right. I truly think Denzel is a actor of 1000 faces. He could pull off almost anything. He has that extraordinary gift.

love denzel. He studies his characters so deeply. Although a simple scene of folding prayer topi (hat) he could have folded it in any way but that is a correct way of folding as muslims would do. This shows how marvelous actor he is and this is why he is the most knowledgeable and well studied actor.

Low budget movies with very high returns , top actors are budget heavy often reaching $100 , $200 million mark , Denzel is one of a very few, who's movies spend little with high returns , a $200 million reaching $1 billion is 5 times the return , a $25 million doing $250 - $500 million is 10 - 20 times return on the money invested , he is loved by Hollywood producers .
