tip #9 - show the patient BEFORE permanent cementation in multiple kinds of lighting and get feedback on aesthetics! my dentist did not do this and now this beautiful process of taking a prep and seating an anatomically sound crown ... has to be destroyed and redone when the first one could have been adjusted by the lab :(. this was so interesting though - now I really respect what is going on with crown placement as a patient.

I would not recommend adjusting any porcelain crown. Buzz the prep. Really nice informative video... even for a technician like me. Thank you so much for taking the time to teach all of us. If your contact is open on the temperary, you will always be making adjustments at seat time. Fact😊👍❣️ Great job.

Wish me luck, tomorrow is my 4th attempt at “Gentle” Dental to get my permanent crown seated. My tooth has been shaved down and prepped multiple times with no successful permanent crown seating since February of this year 🙏🏽

gc makes a great porcelain crown removing plier , has rubber tips i wet slightly w alcohol then dip in diamond powder and it grips your porcelain crown without damaging

Yes, I have the same from another brand but these removing pliers work awesome. Tip: I use the powder from the sandblaster Al2O3 in grain 50 Much cheaper.....

how do you control bleeding when u cut some of the gum away without using a laser? Quick-stat is so messy, some of my offices i work at don't have quick stat clear, and when I infiltrate the gums with local, it'll blanch a little but go back to bleeding? Also do you also take another BW to verify after cementation or just one before?

Hi from Germany, my advice is:use a liquid from Ultradent named Astringedent . It helps me a lot even when I am fighting with situations under anticoangulants. Pack your cord , rub it into the bleeding gum for max 2 minutes , rinse and you are ready to go! Or use a soft tissue trimmer. That is a rotating instrument made of ceramics you put into a turbine! and use it without(!!!!) water fullspeed. This instrument looks like a flame . For example from Brasseler. Thin and long or short and tighter in shape according to the space and situation.You can cut gum easily without a bleeding and use it safely when your patient has a heart pacer and you cant use electro- coagulation at all. I hope I could help you.

I have a question! My dentist is closed for the weekend and I just got my temporary crown in. It’s way too small and there’s hardly any contact. Will my permanent crown be exactly like this one? Thanks!

most any dental supply company carries occlude, it comes in green and red. I find red easier to read.

I suppose, to some demographics, the dentist who is unshaven, wearing hat backwards, seems credible. My generation somehow trusts dentists who look like dentists, not hip hop stars.

And we’re so happy this is changing. For so long you only saw one “type” of dentist. Now we come in all shades and styles because you know we’re not dentists only. I didn’t even pay that much attention to his look only that this information is really helpful. I’ve had so many patients that see me and feel they can identify with me so maybe you and your generation should stick with ppl that “look like dentists”, whatever that means.

@@micahonwu547 That's exactly my point, nothing more. My generation will purchase dental services from the people we think "look like dentists". Your generation can go to the dentist of your choice. That's how every medical/dental/contractor relationship works.
