Got a crown and forgot to ask to do a root canal and had 2 or 3 fillings done at the same time . Could not drink even normal temp water without every tooth I had work on hurting like I just had the work done that day for 2 to 3 months . And pain of course when eating .Went back to dentist a few days after the work they where no help . EVENTUALLY all four teeth nerves stopped being inflamed and the pain went . 55 years old so I think it's just old age and more sensitive nerves maybe or they drilled close to the nerves setting them off.Had many crowns etc but never had lasting pain like that .

Same thing happened to me . Fortunately I went to an endodontist on my own before my dentist put on the permanent crown. The endodontist said yep you need a root canal. After root canal pain was gone 🙏

This is definitely the reason why my crown still has a pressure sensitivity after my root canal 10 months ago. I don't experience pain at all during chewing or drinking anything, but It feels slightly sore sometimes. Thanks for the video, I feel confident now why my tooth still has this sensitivity ✌️

What if you had a root canal done and they put a temporary crown but after a week in a half your tooth is sensitive to cold hot and sometimes hurts

whats your take on this Doc. I had two crowns put it. one on my 1st molar the other on my 2nd molar. My dds said there is a gap between crowns, thus food is getting in, thus leading to bacteria build up and then infection, and thats why it hurts when i chew.

Got my implants crowns two weeks ago. The pain was slowly going away and now it hurts like hell. Well he still have to add two more crowns to the back and maybe my bite is off at the moment and that's why it hurts. Have to keep taking painkillers until I see him again 😭

There is no more nerves on a root canal tooth with crown and it still hurt. Yes the bite was off. Yes the dentist was too incompetent to fix the high spots and crookedness of the crown. Yes I filed it down myself out of desperosity and yes I fix it better than the dentists themselves. 1 out of 4 dentists MIGHT give you proper shaped crown. But it's rare now... this is medical malpractice.

Also I should mention that if you do not get the crown properly adjusted it can lead to scoliosis of your spine. I was dying felt like my body was being crippled from a horrendous crown both crooked and high.... right after filing the crown to proper shape and bite my spine started cracking and shit back to normal position. Back muscles started equalizing and felt more normal, I felt more healthy and athletic after. A bad crown can be excruciatingly annoying.

Sometimes they cant get all of the root and just fill the tooth back up. So sometimes that nerve is inflamed and causes the pain to come back even more painful. ☹️

I’m going to stop eating sugar and carbs to lower inflammation. My two week old crown is aching every night and cold water is impossible to drink. I think it will heal better if I eat better and fast too.

Got the crown 4/11/23 been in pain since. I’ve gone back multiple times they check X-rays and say everything fine. My bite feels off but the dentist told me I just have a weird bite. The endodontist said I can pay to get the root canal again. Spent about 2,000 for more pain than what I started with :/

I've had my crown for two years and these past few months, its beeen more sore when I bite on anything. So, I go to get my teeth cleaned this week and had the dentist look at the crown, turns out, it was my bite and once he got it sanded down, it stopped hurting

Hi question did you press against the tooth to feel any abnormality like some pressure on the gum? I ask this because I push up on the crown and it some how it’s feels sour when I press gentle upward I wonder if the root cracked god I hope not?

Now I am scared to have my schedualed crowns done, so much can go wrong.

My foctor did 3 crowns in one day and made the crowns in the office in one hour! Is this was tight thing to do? It doesn’t seem right.

Had a crown in March and had this issue. The dentist actually replaced it with another crown, which seemed great for about two months. Now it’s hurting again, can’t chew on that side. Why would it be fine for a while then hurt again😢

I had a crown done and my tooth has ever since been absolutely the same. No more pain. It feels nice to rub my tongue over also. I am so lucky I had a good experience

I did my second crown after 16 years.. this new crown is almost 2 months.. then 2 days ago when i woke up i have sharp low pain... I believe its the grinding i did .. i never had this pain the day before i even eat steak and shawarma.. dammit its 2 days now. It come like 1 to 3 level of pain and no pain at all .... I need to heal this gum ...

How long did the pain last

Good morning, Doc,I had a cavity filled and the dentist chipped the tooth next to it. I was told to go the her endo friend and get a root canal. and now 3 weeks later I am getting a crown. I am very anxious. Is there anything I can to do to prepare myself, and after care? I really don't trust this dentist

I had a really good dentist 25 years ago install a crown. The crown broke.. Here in Japan I went to the dentist.. When he removed the old crown no cavity the old dentist had done a really nice prep and was just mounted above the gum line thick mounting Circle.... All the dentist in Japan had to do was clean it up and make a new impression... I got confused it had been so long before I knew it he grounded down to out or below gum level and had a nice Square post made of my tooth very small and destroyed my tooth I can tell it's very weak he made some kind of lame excuse tell me why it had to be done this way now I have discomfort where I never had any discomfort it felt like a real tooth.. These dentists studied at least 30 years apart the new dentist was a complete idiot... Destroyed my tooth had me come to an appointment just to ruin my tooth and take impressions... Some dentists are crooked and stupid or both..

Thanks for this, I haven't gotten my permanent one in yet so the tooth mold is shorter than the others. so yeah my bite is off until I get my permanent, but yeah it stings so much if I have cold water. 🥶

Mine was hurting for 2 weeks up until 2 days before my permanent crown. Just got it on yesterday. My tooth hurts all over agin , i had a fillingbon it on or near it.

@nativechique7589 I got mine in today at 11am. I fell asleep after it feels weird, so yeah, I got to start over, to use to the permanent... When the Dr said you're going to hate me for 5 seconds, he wasn't lying he sprayed my nub with that air to dry it off for crown can latch on. OMFG, I've never felt so much pain like that 11/10. I was grabbing at my jaw for an hour. 😬😵‍💫🥶

@@kingdom121989 mine hurt from my coffee this morning. Took a couple ibuproferin. Was able to chew on that side for the 1st time in a couple weeks. Its achy now as i go to sleep but better than the temporary. Hope u heal up quick!!

If the pain doesn't go away after a month get a root cana from an endodontist or pull the tooth don't live in pain.

How long we can take painkiller. After crown i take already 24 days pain killer and 10 days antibiotics still my teeth pain.

painkillers are very bad for your liver, thats why you should not take them too long, especially stuff like "ibuprofen" what is pretty common for tooth pain

If you are in extreme pain after a dentist puts a crown on your tooth then get a root canal. If it still hurts pull that tooth 🦷 .

I got a crown and wish I didn't. Anything other then the temp of my mouth is a bitch. I officially have to drink from a straw.

He kept telling me he's not sure of the condition of the nerve it may be okay.. It was like between Drilling and grinding he wanted me to feel pain probably to sell me a root canal that I will not take a chance with I'll always remove the tooth... Any good dentist will tell you to remove the tooth because you have a dead body part now in your body and it can cause infection and even heart problems and different sorts of problems not associated with the tooth... You are much better with an implant.... Which this idiot was doing implants.. I thought he was just cleaning and polishing what the other dentist did but he actually destroyed the beautiful work done by a highly qualified dentist in Los Angeles California... I worked on many wealthy people's teeth... Maybe by Japanese cars but not go to the dentist
