    These sound great! I have these, the Bowers & Wilkins Pi7S2 and the AKG 400nc, and these sound the best, fit and have the best specs. The Pi7S2 sound great but they don’t fit so well and hurt my ears in less than an hour. The AKG are great for the price.

    I just got mine, I also have the between 3ANC. If these can beat those in sound quality I’ll be seriously impressed. If they are on par I’ll still be happy. If they are worse I’ll return them.

    Just picked these up from my local Audio46 here in NYC. Absolutely worth it. I have an S23 Ultra, so i get to really stretch these buds legs. I tested the senns, geminis, bqc ultra, and 3anc, and the PerL pro's smacks the shit out of all of them. ANC is also as good as my airpods pro 2. My ONLY issue is that the touch controls are finicky, as mentioned in this review. Other than that, these are absolutely killer. When im using AAT, i prefer them over my focal bathys, and thays saying A LOT. I also agree with your take on spacial audio. Im an audiophile, and i just keep spacial off. It doesnt sound good nor natural to me.

    They sound better than the 3ANC eh? I really like those, but my right bud has pressure issues now effecting the balance. The screen (or filter) came off of the nozzle awhile ago and one day it just acted up… like my right ear had adaptive anc on or something depending on the angle of the fit. It sucks, but I just ordered these. Cant wait to compare them, I’ll be happy if these sound as good.

    @@Hijynx87 they're much better than the 3ANC. Just make sure you get the PerL Pro's set up with your own customized audio so you can utilize them to their fullest extent. Also, save different profiles. I did my fitting 3 times and have gotten 3 completely different sound profiles. Tinker with the different ear inserts, wings/no wings, etc to get several settings. The stock sound signature of the PerL Pro's aren't great.

    @@kugelschreiber5678what eartips do you use on your Perl pros? I have Omni on mine, but either I need to size up or use something else. They are so damn hard to get on lmao. Needless to say my sound profile was disappointing, but not bad. I thought I had a seal, but maybe it was just not deep enough to get a robust profile…half the circle was filled basically.

    my experience was very different to yours, the personalised sounds gives me the best I've heard like any in ear product, which ear tip makes all the difference I set up a profile with the supplied tips, sounds good no complaints profile no 2 was with Dunu S & S , these gave me the wow I was looking for profile no 3 was with Soft Ears tips these also gave me an excellent sound so close to the Dunu maybe a bit more comfortable, but when I came to put the buds in the case couldn't close the lid. I use the Dunu everyday and my personal profile love it, turn the sound up a bit and they excel (if you're buying dunu for the first time, get a size smaller than usual)

    So you put the tips on and off every time? I have these tips, but my sound profile was with stock and spinfit Omni…. Bassy af and kinda darker sounding. I much prefer the 3ANC out of the box, but I just gotta sit in a quiet room and do the test with some more premium tips, probably something thicker than spinfit Omni, like w1, divinus velvet or softears uc.

    Looking at frequency response graphs for the Denon Perl Pros, I noticed a peak at just around 10 kilohertz. Did this peak ever sound harsh or fatiguing?

  • @TheSourceAVDesignGroup

    @TheSourceAVDesignGroup

    6 ай бұрын

    I guess it depends on the type of music you are listening to and how it was produced, but I didn't find them fatiguing, generally speaking, in the treble region. There is a 10k adjustment available in the built in EQ, so if you are sensitive to that region, you have options along with the custom Maisimo sound profile.

    These are simply a rebadged nuratrue pro from nura. Denon/Nura threw their customers under the bus when they bought out nura ceasing any development and updates for nura products. They’re ok for what they are but no substitute for decent over the ear cans.

    Over the ears are not for everyone. They mess with hair, they're not portable and they take up a lot of space in bags. Plus, for people who wear glasses, they're a nuisance. And in-ear can in fact sound a lot more intimate as they're even closer to the ear canal. These Denons are excellent. Not sure what Nura etc have to do with it. Between Technics AZ800 and Denon Perl Pro, we have excellent Japanese makes.
