When I drive over it I have no idea it’s one of the longest suspension bridges in the world. It’s gorgeous. ❤️❤️❤️

Canonical felines (holy cats), 37USD to cross!? Then again, I have no idea what similar tolls are like in Canada. Thanks for the vids showing roads so different in good from my own. Also, thanks for introducing me to trance and retrowave; I heard these from you first.

Both this bridge and the Øresund Bridge/Link to Sweden were built by private consortia without using government funds. Ironically they were mentioned in a NYPost op-ed article warning about the costs of socialism comparing it to the Hudson River crossings between NY and NJ, which are publicly owned. There is a heavy registration fee for personal use cars (105% on the first ~10kUSD of the car's value and 150% on the rest above, may have been lowered) however to pay for all the other roads in Denmark which are toll-free.

why did they count 2 bridges as 1 bridge? if there was no island where you can drive out with your car i agree that it was 1 bridge. but so long there is a island i can't understand why they call 2 bridges as 1. then we have in Rotterdam also a long Willemsbrug cause we have Willemsbrug and Koningsbrug(Kings bridge) they both also connected 1 island but we still count them as 2 bridges with 2 different lenghts.

Maybe it is because that small island is uninhabited and therefore no one would take any of the 2 bridges just to get to that small island. Technically it is possible to leave the freeway on the island of Sprogø, but I think regular traffic is not allowed to do so. Also the exit on Sprogø is not signed.

They are technically 2 bridges, but you have to either take both, or turn around and drive back.

@Robert Roggeveen Yes, they are uninhabited. That information is given in the video at 2:13 "Sprogø Island, population: 0". It is also mentioned in the Wikipedia article about Sprogø: "The island has no permanent population today, but is used by Sund og Bælt, the company that owns and operates the bridges. It is also a nature reserve, and tours of the island are organised."

They don't count it as one. In Danish it's called Storebæltsforbindelsen, which means "Great Belt Link" or "Great Belt Connection".

Holy crap! 37 USD! That's equivalent of around MYR 150, enough for paying expressway (tolled highway) toll to travel for a total distance of around 900 km in my country. By the way, I've heard that the construction of the rail tunnel was a disaster. The tunnel boring machine hit the water pocket, causing the tunnel to be flooded and delayed the construction for a few years.

This is actually the cheaper of the two major crossings; the Øresund Bridge costs 52 EUR / $ 60 to cross.

@@EuropeanRoads But I think it's logic since the construction costed a lot of money, plus the maintenance of the bridge, and the construction of the tunnel and the artificial island was quite challenging. I just concerned about the road maintenance actually. The road quality looks poor.

@In Actis Esto Volucris Hey. Calm down. Read the sentence again. I said the construction was a disaster. That means there was a disaster occured during the construction. Stop saying the others a negative person before you really understand. And also, I just say poor. I didn't add any adverb like 'very' and else. Look at the road surface. That's what I mean. You don't know the difference between 'poor' and 'bad', huh? Bear your word, please. I just said the price is expensive. Is that offensive, huh? So, by hearing people saying it's expensive is offensive to you? You're the only people I heard saying very negative about me just because of the comment.

@In Actis Esto Volucris Read all my comments and replies again. And find any negative words. OK, I admit that 'poor' word but just only one word you say I'm pissimistic? You really misunderstood me but the real thing that I totally hate is when you say negatively about me. I keep my words free from any negative elements but YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE WHO SAY I'M A NEGATIVE AND PISSIMISTIC PERSON. Even your English is not good, you act like a genius saying negatively about me.
