It's all in Daryls face. His face screams pain and horror. Similar to Rick's face AND acting in the pilot or in Lori's death. You feel the trauma mostly through them. Would say Carol showed a ton of emotion in season 2 and 3 along with Hershel. Way later on is when you feel Glenn and Maggie's and Rositas and Sashas pain and trauma not untill Neegan makes his appearance.

Nah the humans be killing off each other more than the zombies do their just helping them at this point

Right... I remember a movie where the couple wrecks the car and it looks like they're ok..but as the wife walks towards the side of the road ,you see blood on her head ,alot of blood and she's talking amd walking around and then she touches it and she says oh wait ,wait and wobbles a bit and the husband noticed and she eventually falls while talking and dies. Very shocking to see people die and not know they're dying.

​​@@_haven.They arent switched. Abraham gets an arrow in the eye, like shown in the short. But denise is not beaten to death by Negan, only Glenn is. Denise dies later when she is bitten by a zombified Holly(the equivalent would be Sasha) during an attack on Alexandria by Negan. The whole Coffin thing, thats when Denise dies. Instead of amputating her bitten arm she keeps it to save Heath whose leg was blown off by a grenade. Denise succumbs to the bite.

Talking loud when it's not noisy outside was a dumb mistake made by many on that show.

At least Denise didn’t have to suffer through the traumatic lineup scene where she would have watched tearfully as two of her friends get brutally whacked in the head with a barbed wire baseball bat until they were dead with mush brains. Also she avoided the painful war against the Saviors that she likely would have died in anyways.

Spoiler if you want to read the comics. She did die in the war in the comics when the saviors raided alexandria. She got bit by a walker but instead of amputating her arm, she realize she needs both her arms to save another person's life who got their legs blown off. She did save that person but it was too late to amputate her arm and she died.

this was one of the hardest deaths for me. i really adored her character development. and the relationship she had built with daryl. he faces so much heartbreak through this whole show it’s so devastating. like the fact that he caught her before she fell to let her go down nicely before pulling out his weapon was such a devastating moment to watch

@countedhats yeah well it took her too long to get it together, which is why she died. Just think, if she got it together sooner, She'd be making that speech behind Alexandrias huge walls!!! Not out in the open train tracks with saviors lurking out and about!!! She definitely deserved that death. She shouldn't have even been out there in the first place

This scene is so well done. With the character still talking and carrying on her conversation but now with a slurred speech it really adds a level of creepiness to her death, it wasn't an instant death. And the reaction of Daryl when the notices the arrow, totally thinking "wtf". Really well done.

I always loved Negan’s way of introduction, they kill one of your own first, then they show up and talk, simply genio us and very original, plus gives some helpless feeling to see one of your own die in front of you and don’t be able to do to a single thing.

She was beyond annoying and whiny and took stupid risks for stupid reasons, then had the NERVE to yell at the most proficient survivors of the entire show like she had some sort of moral highground or profound life lesson to share when the only reason she ever even made it that far in the first place is because other people saved her ass a million times over.

Still one of my all time favorite deaths. Not seeing it coming in the slightest, her continuing to speak after the arrow landed and slowly trailing off as her brain starts to die…perfect cinematic effect.
