It should never have been scheduled. Yes, he had holding power vs Devon but Devon isn't even an offensive arm-wrestler. It was more than clear after Devon that Denis is, as many people should have expected, not what he used to be. Im glad he's recognizing the issue at hand and that his health must be priority number 1.

I think Devon cancelling his match motivated Denis to back out as well. He knew he had very little chance against Ermes so this was the perfect opportunity. Well, I hope his health issues get resolved. Health is first, always. But I doubt we'll see Denis competing with the top tier super heavies again.

Morozov and Georgi still showed up with badly health issues, knowing they would likely lose and not in a good way, if this is the real reason Denis should not be allowed to pull at high level again, it's pretty disrepectful. Yup he is finished, every time he stays at a high level for a bit longer it is having serious health toll on him. He should just go on the 115kg category or even back off from elite arm wrestling, stay lean and healthy it the best for him. He was the old Hulk, now we have a new Hulk which is Levan, Denis has nothing to prove.

Good health and recovery to Denis! This was to be expected because Denis said that there were health problems, plus he was not feeling very well. Now he has started to deal with his health, plus he will have hip replacement surgery.

Honestly Denis could have remembered he had health problems 1 month earlier than now so he would have avoided all this situation. If you want to cancel a match just make sure you give organizers proper time to find a replacemant match. Who is going to step in now that we are 2 weeks out from the event ?

I feel really bad for Dennis. The guy is build for arm wrestling and he loves it, but he pushed so hard… Having your health affect your goals when you’re still in the prime of your life is really tragic. Hoping the worst is over for Den.

Devon is cutting weight to return in heavyweights, which is the best choice for him honestly, since he has troubles reaching and maintining his weight over 120 kgs due to natural aging. Kurdecha, I don't know, we already saw Ermes losing badly to Devon due to almost 0 preparation for the match, and Ermes now is no longer that vulnerable against longer levers. But yeah, I don't know at this point who can be a match for Ermes, free to have a match, probably only Alex

E' tutta una scusa e il suo comportamento è completamente irrispettoso nei confronti di Ermes che si sta allenando come un neghèr da mesi. Il dato di fatto è che Vitaly è andato all'Arm Olymp due settimane fa e ha tirato con Denis ma si è poi fatto scappare qualche parola di troppo nel video che ha poi cancellato, dove aveva fatto intendere di aver flashpinnato Denis più e più volte e di avergli detto che Ermes era completamente su un altro livello. Vergognoso dal mio punto di vista.

Ma certamente Denis non è competitivo e Vitali da quando si sta dedicando totalmente a questo sport continua a migliorare... @@rumbahardstyle sì ma infatti io ho commentato in inglese dicendo che quello di Denis è stato il peggior ritorno alle competizioni che abbia mai visto proprio perché senza una logica, senza un minimo di progressione graduale. Io non penso che debba limitarsi solo alle leggende perché non ha solo battuto John lo ha proprio dominato. Ha "battuto" Kurdeca di 1anno fa in uno sparring (per quello che può valere) e a Devon ci sono voluti 23 colpi per pinnarlo nel loro primo round ..secondo me affrontare tutte le leggende avrebbe comunque dato un'idea chiara a lui stesso e a tutti del suo reale livello. Da lì, dopo averle battute tutte, avrebbe potuto gradualmente provare a scalare la classifica fino ad arrivare in top 5 secondo me.
