Yeah Primordial demon is an Old Demon, makes sense since you can't throw young sprites at one.

Great sage and the evolved version ultimate skill Raphael lord of wisdom appear in rimuru's head as the voice of the world which normally would not be heard unless something big happens like a skill being granted or evolving and like here when one becomes a demon lord this voice is heard by all it represents a great accomplishment. In this case becoming a demon lord shows that the world acknowledges you a strong monster.

Primordial means: existing at or from the beginning of time. That means he's as old as the world itself. He's more than a "strong demon", he's stronger than Rimuru until Rimuru became a true demon lord. A being that old with that much power is no joke!

just some info, because it never been explained in manga or anime. word of the world is not great sage/wise one and yes, all of rimuru subordinate that connected to his soul heard word of thee world voice, but not great sage or raphael voice whenever rimuru talk to them. and red eye rimuru is the auto mode system that great sage and raphael have. great sage copy and mimic the way word of the world talk and work, normally a unique skill cannot talk and cannot answer a question. this is not explain in the anime, but when the first time rimuru goes to isekai great sage is not fully functional yet. it took great sage 90 days to be able to talk and answer rimuru question. and now, that reliable great sage become way more reliable because it evolved into raphael (king of wisdom) and for the hot dude in the black, he is one of the 7 primordial demon (already explained in shizue spinoff anime) he is primordial of black, in demon hierarchy there are: lesser demon

Merciless really doesn't get talked about enough. Rimiru literally instantly ripped the souls out of 9,000 guys who were just internally begging to be spared. Now, to be fair, they fucking deserved it. It's true that there's an argument to be made for "just following orders," but the fact is they all knew why they were there...and they were even bragging about future opportunities to rape the more attractive female residents (and maybe even the less attractive ones). And now he's EVEN MORE POWERFUL. If he'd kept the Merciless skill, he could literally erase an entire nation in an instant. He could use all of his skills to lay waste to the place, terrifying the inhabitants into near-paralysis, and then turn Merciless loose on an entire nation of people in absolute despair at his power. So, yeah, it was a very good narrative idea to "sacrifice" that skill for other uses.

primordial black could wipe out hole tempest solo including rimuru himself to and he has no idea how strong of a subordinate he new got

the primordials are the 7 original demons. Shion and the other dead monsters were also granted gifts upon resurrection.

@@KiyoKami_ Technically Demon Lord is kind a fucked up translation. The proper term in this context should be Magic Lord/King, based on in-universe context. Dunno why the translators put it this way, when Magic Lord makes way more sense to correlate w/ the Magic-born (Majin; lit. Magic People) term used for high-rank monsters (or simple monsters, as even tho Slimes are shit-tier, they are still Majin as they are entirely composed of Magicules solely)...

Think of the Words of the World as Google and Sage/Great Sage/Wise One/Raphael as a Google assistant with Rapheal become sentient in their own right. (Red eye Rimuru is Rapheal in control of his body the same way Sage took over in the Orc Disaster fight.)

14:38 primordial's are the oldest and strongest demons (and hes primordial black, black part is family, its like example, instead of clan names they have colors), they are the originals kind of like our originals were primates from who we evolved and this dude is equal to primordial red strongest being in this world, saying it that way cause red is also living in human world

just read the chapter 67 of manga, you will enjoy it cause rimuru is much more badass in there plus it has more info that the anime missed to show.

so let me tell ylu this there is the voice of the world who gives skills and notice every one who know the person is evolving if they are close to them then there is raphael which is the evolution of unique skill great sage to ultamate skill lord of wisdom raphael unique skills are the second most powerful evolution of skills and first are ultimate skills and you can only have 1 ultimate skill but if your soul is super strong you can hande more them 1 or 2 even more then 2 which means rimuru getting 4 ultimate skills tells us his soul is super strong well considering he reincarnated like how veldora said from the start your soul needs to be extreamly strong to reincarnate to the cardinal world aka where rimuru is right now and normal people can only have 1 ultimate skills

@Chad Anderson Sacrifice in this context means bidya gaem gambling mechanics, where if you fail the roll %, it's gone for good, but if you win, you evolve yet the skill technically isn't gone, just gets merged w/ the new thing. In a way, it's like using a skill as a Catalyst, I'd say, in fantasy terms
