Heads up that Words of the World is NOT the great sage/Raphael. They just have the same voice (as the great sage copied words of the world's voice. Everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) hears words of the world when they get new skills. Great sage/Raphael does wayyy more for rimuru though (and it is exclusive to him) P.s. during the evolution great sage was talking to words of the world. They use different graphics but it is subtle in the anime (Words of the world has an image of the world when it is talking)

If I remember correctly that nuclear blast that Diablo blows away actually ends up hitting one of Claymans 5-Fingers killing him off screen, i don't think it's ever been confirmed if it was accidental or intentional on Diablos part but that's why we only ever meet 4 of the 5 fingers

​@@Angel_Rod in episode 24. Shizue ask who he is and he replied by saying who he is is no concern of her's and knowing will only bring despair. But Only If she even knows what primodial demon is. That's what he meant back then. Information on demons isn't that wide spread in west, so knowing what a primodial demon is mean that they are quite knowledgeable. Primodial demons coming to this world and gaining a body is treated even worse than birth of a demon lord. Razen knows what a primodial demon is and what them gaining a body means. That's why he passed out.

@@Ikller-xh7qq Diablo is not just a primordial, he’s one of two most powerful primordials, he and guy were far ahead of everyone else in the past, they alway came to a draw when they fought for the throne of the strongest

One more important thing before i forget! Rapheal (great sage) did something that isnt meant to be possible. Since it is a skill it shouldn't act without Rimuru telling it too. Yet it acted by itself to revive the dead because it new that is what Rimuru would have wanted. This is glossed over in the anime but the fact that the SKILL Raphael is capable of thinking amd acting by itself is beleived to be impossible. It mentions in the LN how Diablo even believes that he must be imaging it because it couldnt happen. So it is kinda a big deal. I.e. Something funky is going on with Rapheal as it is going above and beyond what it should be able to do.

I had a discussion with another reactor recently and we confirmed after research that it is now self-aware (she tries to bury it) but does not now have an ego. Those aren't the same thing. But she is completely loyal to Rimuru, no need to worry on that score.

TenSura one of the most underrated animes out there. This episode alone is why it’s one of my all time favorite shows. Rimuru is such a GOAT.

So an important scene was left out that's why a lot of people confuse Raphael with rimuru in the last scene even though the eyes were a giveaway. Mjurran was suppose to question who it was controlling Rimuru's body because it wasn't rimuru, and Raphael replied a proxy. And then Mjurran would say that "is the skill acting on its own" A small detail in Rimuru's evolution scene, if Great sage is talking a diamond shape appears, if it's the word's of the world its a rectangle that goes screen to screen. You could see them talking with each other. The reason Razen survived is because to kill a person with a survivor skill you need to destroy his spiritual body. Like what shogo said last episode "you can cut my head or limbs but they'll regenerate" The two with Noir/Diablo are his subordinates from his lineage. Unfortunately that's all their screen time as expendibles. Considering Noir/Diablo doesn't like making descendants and is very picky those two should be talented(useful to him) atleast in his eyes. It's always fun to see the reaction of tensura characters who knows how terrifying primordials are. Because it is the moment they all envy those that die without knowing about the primordials identity. Basically it's like if our world has a real life monster that destroy nations on a whim appeared in front of you.

@@webster9169 to put it simply, great sage is like having your own personal words of the world that you can ask questions to and converse with when normally it just announces when you gain new skills or meet requirements for evolution

@@webster9169 you misunderstood the great sage was petitioning to the words of the world to evolve. The wording in the subtitles was hard to understand. It wasn't evolving to the words of the world. It was asking to evolve by requesting to the words of the world.

I will also explain the Oni evolutionary tree (if I forgot to do it earlier): Goblin -> Hobgoblin/Goblina -> Ogre -> Mystic Oni or Wicked Oni (Wicked Oni is unique to Shion as part of her gifts) -> Final stage to be revealed later ------------------ The 100 Goblin Riders all gain the Extra Skill Unification. *Unification* is an Extra Skill the Goblin Riders and their Tempest Wolves acquired as a result of Rimuru’s Harvest Festival. The user can physically merge with allies they have a strong relationship with, increasing the unified being's total strength. In the case of the Goblin Riders, they became able to merge into one to move quickly on all fours and get a boost of strength that puts them at about Rank A minus to Rank A. Even the worst among them would dominate the B rank. ------------------ Gobta's Gifts 1.The Extra Skill Sage 2. The Extra Skill Unification *Sage* is an Extra Skill that allows the user to accelerate the target's thought processing speed (up to a thousand times) and provides a comprehension boost. *Unification* is an Extra Skill Gobta acquired as a result of Rimuru’s Harvest Festival. So being able to fly puts them at an overwhelming advantage over their enemies. *Dragon Body* is an Intrinsic Skill rarely possessed by Dragonewts. The skill allows the user to enter a temporary battle transformation which greatly increases their combat capabilities similar to its Lycanthrope counterpart, Beast Transformation. The user absorbs the Magicules surrounding them to super-charge their body. The scales covering the user's body turn black, getting thicker and more flexible. Their muscles bulge and the user can potentially double in size. The more human-looking dragonewts are granted a more draconic form like a Dragon Majin. This results in an immense offensive and defensive power increase, with Magic attacks against the user becoming almost useless. Even if the user is damaged, this form provides regenerative capabilities similar in effectiveness to Ultraspeed Regeneration, allowing them to recover from nearly any injury. Major drawbacks to this are the possibility of losing ones Ego due to being unable to handle the power, a time limitation, and severe physical damage sustained after reverting back to ones original form. All this can be prevented and overcome if the user has trained their body and mind to withstand the immense power the form grants them. *Black Flame Breath* is an Intrinsic Skill of Dragonewts and their evolution. It allows the user to spit Black Flame from their mouth. *Black Thunder Breath* is an Intrinsic Skill of Dragonewts and their evolution. It allows the user to spit Black Thunder from their mouth. Diablo is HERE!!! Note: The sacrifice of the dead bodies was enough for Diablo to create a permanent physical body to incarnate in rather than having to waste magicules on creating a temporary construct to inhabit while in the material world. This actually makes Diablo stronger than his previous two appearances. ---------------------------------------------------------- Note: The anime leaves this out (for God only knows what reason) but when Diablo deflected Razen's Nuclear Cannon into the air, he purposefully deflected it into one of Clayman's henchman who was spying on the battle. Needless to say, she was reduced to ash instantly. Her name was Pirone. Pirone, much like her younger brother Koenig (the bird guy Shizue killed in her flashback), appears as a mix between a bird a human. Unlike her brother's more animalistic form, Pirone had a much more human-like form that closely resembles that of a Harpy. She had bird-like legs and talons as well as thick tufts of feathers along her forearms. She had short slicked back hair with two large hair-antennae as well as fluffy wing-shaped ears identical to her brother's. Of course when your as powerful as Diablo, even before his naming ceremony, type (or rather species) advantage tends to mean squat if your opponent's level is too low in comparison. That poor War Gnome didn't stand a chance and it's only crime was being contracted to Razen. Diablo ripped out what appears to be its Nucleic Heart, the core of the soul. Razen is powerful but Diablo hit his level cap as an Archdemon a long, long time ago and has since spent his time on almost nothing but improving his skills. Even under the effects of Anti-Magic Area, Diablo still gives off boss vibes. In case you're wondering, Diablo has either the Physical Attack Resistance or Physical Attack Nullification skills (I'm not sure which it is at this point, I can't remember if Volume 5 of the Light Novel said it or not). I _almost_ feel sorry for Razen. *Physical Attack Resistance* is a Resistance type skill that reduces the effects of physical attacks (Slashing, Piercing, Blunt, etc.) under a certain threshold to be negligible. *Physical Attack Nullification* is a Nullification type skill that negates all physical damage (Slashing, Piercing, Blunt, etc). ------------------------------------------------------------------ Ultimate skills, as the name implies, give the user ultimate power to control the very laws of nature. The only way to counter an Ultimate Skill is with another Ultimate Skill. That is the absolute, unbendable rule of this world. ------------------------------------------------------------------ Good on you for recognizing that Raphael (so glad I can finally call her that in the comments by the way) was using auto-mode, most don't notice. I've explained this before but remember that Raphael (as Great Sage) copied the voice of the World Language (also known as the Voice of the World (subtitle screw up: it's supposed to be Voice not Words) when she was created to be Rimuru's companion so that she could properly communicate with him. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Note: By using those two Greater Demons' magicules in the revival ceremony, Raphael ended up altering the evolutionary path of the resurrected hobgoblins and Shion. 1. The resurrected Hobgoblins, should they evolve, will no longer evolve into Ogres, the natural evolution of Hobgoblins. 2. Shion evolved into a Wicked Oni instead of a Mystic Oni upon receiving her Harvest Festival Gifts. 3. The resurrected all gain the following extra skill (Note: Rimuru also gained this skill thanks to Beelzebub's sub-skill Food Chain): *Perfect Memory* is an Extra Skill that stores the users memories within their Astral Body, an ability normally reserved for Spiritual Lifeforms. It was gifted to the hundred fallen citizens of Tempest during Rimuru's harvest festival to assist in their complete revival. It allows the user to record their memories into their Astral Body. It lets the user retain their memories for as long as the Soul remains intact. This makes resurrection of the user possible even if the users brain and spiritual body have been destroyed. They think with their spiritual body and make up the "lesser" races found within Spiritual Worlds. Examples include Slimes and Cryptids. *Spiritual Lifeforms* are a type of being that can think and act with only their soul and astral body. They're beings of pure willpower that typically reside within spiritual worlds but are occasionally born among or evolved from material and demi-spiritual beings and need a physical vessel to remain inside the material plane. Examples include Angels, Demons and Elemental Spirits.

They possess an immense amount of power comparable to that of a Demon Lord Seed, with nigh-unlimited lifespans as a result. *Wicked Oni* are a variant of Mystic Oni, possessing an essence that leans closer towards that of a Demon rather than that of a pure Elemental Spirit. A Unique Skill that I will explain later on since the anime only gives the barebones Wicked Oni Intrinsic Skills: -*Ultraspeed Regeneration*: Grants the user incredible regeneration properties far superior to Self-Regeneration. It's considered equal or better than the Orc Disaster's regeneration combination of Starved + Self-Regeneration, which was implied to require the destruction of the entire body on an atomic level to beat. However, the regeneration is blocked when a wound has been caused by Spiritrons, for example via Disintegration. Also, damage done to the Spiritual Body can just bypass the regeneration itself altogether. -*Perfect Memory*: Allows the user to record their memories into their Astral Body. It lets the user retain their memories for as long as the Soul remains intact. Depending on the things the user understands and the information the user knows about, additional information can be inferred. Then read the light novel or manga . It's Masterpiece. TenSura was my 10th favorite when I watched the anime . After reading manga it became 5th and after reading light novel it also my most favorite series of all time.

Even so I have read the both of them . Just month ago finished Mt light novel and I honestly liked it (I understand the anime case cuz beginning stories of here are boring as hell-even in s2 stories I felt bored in ln) . when Raphael hopped down to do the magic thing, which was a nice thing you noticed as most think its Rimuru still in spite of the obvious difference, Benimaru had a rather sus moment 'its a shame Rimuru is genderless' its been a while but when i read the part where Great Sage petitioned for upgrade it was because it recognized a series of failings meaning it wasnt as 'great' as its title suggested. while waiting with the fallen Rimuru asked, not to Great Sage but in general, Great Sage responded regardless because 'question asked' and for all its 'wisdom' it was unable to answer 'did i make the right decision' and several other questions when Rimuru asked im fairly certain that was the initial motivation behind the appeal for upgrade. what this ep didnt really impress though they did as best they could, was how many attempts it took before Great Sage said 'eff it time to try an end run' and offered to sacrifice a skill to improve the odds of success. the ln gives 'thousands' and could have been a lot more, how many times can 2 virtual computers ping each other in a second?

This episode was one of the highest rated episodes in anime according to imdb last year

1. Yes. Red eyes was Raphael (i.e. automode) 😁 2. Diablo is best boy and a massive simp 🤣 3. Raphael is stupidly broken, like it is a supercomputer on steroids times 1756373737. 4. In the LN Rimuru didn't believe it was the actual king for ages because he thought the king was too pathetic. (Hence why he asked if he was a body double) 5. Rimuru cuts off a leg of the king in the LN with his sword because cutting off his hand didn't teach him his lesson apparently 😅 6. Diablo when summoned was probably stronger than rimuru before the evolution.. Diablo is stupidly strong and could possibly beat rimuru post evolution if he really tried...

​@@Angel_Rod well ... 1) worlds in tensura are MULTIVERSES and Diablo should be able to destroy a weak one (true dragon's aura can destroy them) but if you mean the planet he isn't able to do that (teorically he can but he lack magicules). 2)for now he never fought seriously (also in LN) 3) he is stronger than Rimuru after evolution, with some time Rimuru will became stronger than him.

Kuro likes to have a challenge in a fight so limits himself. Later in the novel Rimuru develops a new method of power scaling that is more precise. It uses numbers. To show how artificial Diablo's power level is, his value has a whoooole lotta 6's in it. This can't be coincidence.

Words/Voice of the world is one of God’s skills that he left behind to run the world in the background. It announces events and over sees evolutions, passing judgment (rarely) etc.. its very passive but if it needs it will do it. Great Sage became Wise One but wanted to evolve further but Mom 😒 (Word of the world is basically great sages mom in my head xD ) wouldn’t allow it. Wise one had to sacrifice Other skills to evolve itself further. Great sage is now ultimate Skill Raphael: Lord of Wisdom. Most people at Rimuru’s level dont get Ultimate skills. But Rimuru now has 4, cus Raphael is best Skill 😎. Basically Raphael is Super AI assistant, im sure u already inferred. Ultimate skill Beelzebub Lord of Gluttony is super Gluttony. (Theres more to it, im just over simplifying) N im not gunna speak on the other 2 till Rimuru see them himself.

The facts we lern from the fanbase makes this series even better

Merciless was sacrificed for Beelzebub because it was too fucking OP. Depending on its range (which I imagine is hypothetically infinite), if he could cow the entire world all at the same time somehow...he could literally rip the spirit from every entity in existence in an instant. And technically, nothing about the skill said they had to lose their will to fight the user...just that they had to lose the will to fight, to be begging for their lives. Hypothetically, someone like Milim or Guy could cow the entire world, and then Rimiru could tear the souls from every living being in the world. Rimiru could've tricked either of them into doing so, waited 'til everyone in the world begged for mercy and salvation, and then snuck in and tore out all their souls right from under Guy or Milim. He'd instantly outpace their power by an order of magnitude, at least. But...that doesn't happen for two reasons... 1) Rimiru is absolutely not that kind of guy. Even with what's happened here, he wouldn't just exterminate the world, and probably not that way even if he did. 2) That's why Merciless was immediately sacrificed to upgrade Gluttony. It was actually a pretty brilliant move, honestly. Give Rimiru a stupid-OP ability that is amazing to get in action and serves the story perfectly, and then dump it to get him a more thematically appropriate power-up that is considerably less powerful, but possibly more useful. It's like the anti-power-creep, almost.

BTW as a side note, the name Folgen is a German word. It can mean "to follow" or "following" or "consequences". Razen, the way its pronounced in the show sounds more like Rasen, which is also a German word, which means "lawn" or "to speed" (like driving very fast).

Notice: Rimiru (as Raphael) didn't walk from the fountain to the nearest body, nor even to the center of all the bodies. He walked directly to Shion. He truly wanted to save everyone, but all of this... Completely slaughtering more than 20,000 lives nearly in mere moments... Risking his existence by becoming a True Demon Lord... Nearly sacrificing his own life to complete the resurrection... All of it was just for Shion. Raphael was "driving" at the time, but she knew exactly what Rimiru's true feelings were. She knew that Rimiru would die for her. Knew that even if it meant some of the others had to be left behind, Shion must be saved, at any cost. It might also be true of many others, but of those who did die, Shion was the one he couldn't bear to lose. It was seeing Shion's broken body that finally sent him over the edge nearly into madness. It was hearing about how and why she died that filled him with a world-ending fury. Rimiru wholly loves all his people, but it's those closest and most devoted to him that he himself also loves most. And for good reason. "You have angered the one being whose wrath you should fear most."

I suggest to watch veldora's episode before starting part 2 of s2. Something very important happened in that episode. You would know how veldora get free very quickly and Raphael conversation with veldora.
