    I used a 12-gauge construction plug and extension cord when I use that jackhammer and I do recommend it

    There is a reason for different bits. Why are you using shovel to split rocks/concrete? To each their own, would be easier with correct bit.

    Sir, press the trigger only when in contact because if it is working on air without hammering you will ruin piston.

    I'm gonna buy this same one this week. Is it me or does it seem extremely awkward to be bent over this demo hammer holding that swivel handle? That handle looks like it's meant for demoing horizontal surfaces like a concrete wall, not a slab or low foundation. It looks like you could avoid using that low handle when breaking up a slab of concrete. Thoughts??

  • @wolvesr4ever38

    I have no problems with the handle in the lower position, it does help with placing the jack hammer both in the horizontal and vertical position when hammering.

    It seems like the narrower blade would be able to break things up quicker. Is that why you used it in the second part?

    jeff I tried out the spare first to see what the blade could do and then which to the chisel. the chisel work better than the spade

    For your 2200 W hammer, where do you connect the electricity? from your house 15 amp plug? How many amp does it actually draw? I wonder if the general 15 amp plug is sufficient or safe. Thanks.

    The video doesn't seem to show anyone in it using ear protection, but I bet that would be a good thing to do so. Not criticizing by saying this at all, but just curious, as I have one of these machines and I have not had the opportunity to use it, as it was just delivered today, right during the past 2 days of severe thunder storms. I wanted to view a video to get an idea of how loud this machine actually is. My soil is caliche and even after a heavy rain, it dries up just like it were concrete. I have both types of shovels ordered for it, but they will arrive tomorrow, so I am anxious to try them out. I lost a lot of my hearing due to being an old rock drummer, so wearing those ear protectors about any equipment like this is a given for me. I now have to wear hearing aids and with this pandemic crap of having to wear a mask, I often do not wear them, as they are just too easy to flip off as I remove my mask. They are too darn expensive to break or lose. I do have ear plugs and plan to use them whenever I have to use this machine, for sure. I have a cut off old broken tree stump in my back yard to remove. I saw in other reviews that someone had used the spade to cut roots from a tree stump with. I had the inspectors from 811 come to check out the area where this stump is to be removed from. Unfortunately, the electric line runs too close to use a stump grinder on. Seems that the roots may have entwined or gotten too close to that line over time. These videos you posted here are a great help to me. Thanks.

    Most electric demolition hammers are meant to put the blows to the bit, and not waste so much energy like pneumatic and hydraulic jackhammers do. I work for my city fixing roads and the hydraulic jackhammers that we use literally shake you to the point to wear you can't really focus until you let off the trigger.

    Martin Taylor I've never used one of these electric ones but have used the pneumatic ones years ago. I felt the same as you. The one I used would've been much faster work, albeit much harder to do. But I remember using the star drill too and after using the star drill the jack hammer was a breeze.

    It's a $130 tool. How much does a air compressor cost to run a pneumatic jack hammer???

  • @martintaylor984
    @martintaylor9847 жыл бұрын

    Honestly for a side walk like this an 8lb sledge and a crow bar would be faster and more efficient. I mean that should not have taken more than 30 or 45 minutes to have that broke out and removed.

  • @wolvesr4ever38

    @wolvesr4ever38

    Martin honestly the 8lb sledge hammer and crowbar might had worked but it didn't and only took about 2hours from cracking it and cleaning out with the jackhammer. The sidewalk was reinforced with rebar and mesh and the client wanted done that way.
