I never said she didn't put emotion in her songs because I know she does, I saw her perform at The Hollywood Bowl with Ed. I obviously don't know how she feels and either do you, or anyone. I think she has a great voice, but I'm just saying I like Ed's version better.

Look people, the only way to settle this dumb shit is to just simply agree that both Demi and Ed Sheeran put plenty of emotion in theirs songs and yadda yadda(still think Demi is #1 X3)

She wrote this song about her dad. And that's why I love it, I'm going trough the same things with mine. I love you Demi!! This song is absolutely beautiful.

I know it's a bout her dad and I don't have troubles with my dad. But this song I understand and feel the pain even though I don't have the same problem. Her voice makes me want to cry.

Demi is one of just few artists that, apart from sex, empowerment and being the coolest in the world, can write and sing songs about true feelings. I'm lucky I've never experienced the situation she talks in this song, but you can hear and feel her pain, and that's really emotional.

Yes, vocally DEMI is nothing when you compare it to Confident and in my opinion DEMI era has too much bad songs like Never Been Hurt or Made In The USA. so vocals = Confident ballads = Demi overall = Confident

the fact that this song has so much emotion, i just cant believe how she does it. she IS one of the most underrated vocalists of this whole generation. the fact that people only like SNS and Confident and not the these kind of songs of hers annoys me. I forget just how much I appreciated this song when it was first released. I can relate so well with this song..and every time I listen to it, the feeling is so strong.. I haven't meet my dad for 8 years. At first I didn't really understand why would he go away when he told us that he loved us. And all my life, without his absence, was just so hard.. Maybe he just didn't care about us anymore. I just longed to feel some kind of love and affection from a man called 'dad'. But maybe I wasn't lucky enough to ever experienced that 'dad-and-daughter' kind of bonding. But yeah... I'm all grown up now, probably stronger than ever ( I hope so..) And now... I just really hope that he is happy with his new family.
