Jessie J is the first and only person to tell me that it's ok not to be ok. I can never thank her enough for that. Edit: It’s been four years since I wrote this comment. I just wanted to come back and say, I am no longer suicidal/ deeply depressed. I still struggle, but I made it through. For those who are still going through it, you CAN get better. I swear. I’m a 29 year ago guy from Hong Kong, and right now I’m on a bus alone in a foreign country,listening to this song, crying by myself. I have been wearing a wig for five years because of my balding and last night it was kinda broken. I didn’t bring a hat with me unfortunately. It’s been so long since I go out with my real hair showing to the public. At first, I was so frustrated and losing my mind because of this. I couldn’t even breathe when I looked at the hotel mirror. But then I told myself I couldn’t let it defeat me, there’s still a long way for me to go. The next day I still wore the broken wig but everybody would instantly notice I’m wearing one when they look at me. I felt vulnerable, insecure, and yet I also felt relieved. It was when I start letting the facade go away that I could finally feel like myself. And then I thought of this song, came here, listening to it, and it is the first time the lyrics hit so deep, every word, every line of this song goes straight into my heart. And I just wanna say thank you Jessie for putting this song out. It enlightened me 10 years ago, and it gives me strength and comfort I needed today.

This song makes me sad because all I can think about is how many years I spent not being okay with myself. The more I meet new people the more I realize that we are all the same. when my daughter was 7 i played her this song that i loved. she told me daddy i want to be as powerful as this lady. im so proud of my daughter every day and i feel i owe you the biggest hug ever for helping in that journey jessie. thank you so much. we both still listen to you to this day ♥♥♥

I feel isolated, trapped . I feel like I can't move. I'm watching everyone around me live their lives whilst I stay static . I'm so alone and I don't feel like I will ever be loved ... But then why would I , I dont even love myself. I smile in front of others but behind closed doors, all I do is cry ....for what appears to be no reason at all It's so , so difficult to get through life sometimes but songs like this give me hope , hope that one day it will all be better, I will be worthy of love , and I will look back with a smile as I realise how far I have come . I'm going through same shit...stay strong,it has to be better one day. Sometimes is loneliness even better than toxic people surrounding you. Isolate yourself for a while and talk to yourself. Kick out all the toxic people from your life,they don't deserve you. It might hurt at the moment,but later you will be much better. You deserve the best. ........... I can never really understand what this song doeas to me. As soon as I press play, I just focus on the melody, and Jessie's voice. There's nothing else. I look straight into her eyes, like she was right in front of me, speaking. ...it's like I can't control myself anymore.... I start to shiver. My whole body shakes and my eyes get wet and I just stare at her eyes. Then I start to cry..... ...this song just speakes to me. It saves me, every single time, in a way that I can't explain. At first, she gained a lot of recognition from her song “do it like a dude” which was heavily supported by the lgbtq+ community. She also said that she was bisexual. After she became famous though, she claimed that it was all for show, which honestly wasn’t the best move what with bi-erasure etc.. So along with her style changing, yes she has a great voice, but it was pretty horrible the way she handled the whole thing and I believe she lost a lot of fans due to that as well.

This version was the FIRST version Jessie recorded in studio, and she liked it so much that she kept it, even though there is a mistake in the beginning where you can hear one of her producers talking in the background (0:06ish). No better names It's given a lot of people the courage to be themselves and know that it's okay. They might otherwise have gone the route that a lot of other people have when they felt completely different from everyone else and that that was a bad thing.

Trueeeee. I often feel like that until I saw a myday post. The place where the couples are in, is very bad so the photorgapher change his angle so that the scene could be nice. The things you go through is actually a invitation for you to see what is and what is not. Its not supposed to get you in a depressed mode, its supposed to give you the insight of what you are going thru, but then we as people have too much relation to our mind as that we were our minds and therefor we keep overthinking until it feels like all you think on is a reality but in fact its just thoughts being manifested to be real because of belief. We are all the same, going thru the same things, its just a question of how much distance you have to what your mind brings up. With a little complentation, you should get a big space in yourself.
