With practice and prior repetition, you’d be surprised what you can actually do really trashed. You just kind of go through the motions. I also feel like, from my experience at least if you practice/preform a song and lot, it’s so hard to mess it up. Sometimes your body will just tap out, but I noticed I used to mainly mess up on the easy parts and get the harder parts fine. Glad to be sober now lol.

Knowing what we know now, I wouldn't have guessed that she was hungover in this performance. She nailed it. I don't know how she didn't fall in those shoes. It just goes to show that you have no idea what someone is going through in their life. She put on a show for the cameras, but behind the scenes she was going through a rough time. Watching this performance, you wouldn't even know it. I have so much more love and respect for her, even more so now since watching her documentary, Simply Complicated. She's an amazing, incredible, and talented person.

This just shows that you don’t know what’s really happening in people’s lives. You’d think her life was pop star perfect but no it was the opposite so glad she’s better now

Drunk or not how anyone can walk in those heels is a miracle

I think she was a little hung over from the day before. She said recently the day before her idol performance was the last time she got drunk . she snuck vodka in a water bottle at the airport (the day before she decided she wanted to become sober)

No, she struggled a lot with an eating disorder as well as she was depressed and used drugs and alcohol. But she overcame it and I'm so happy:)

And she was sauced while singing this. She sings better while high than most current singers do while they’re sober

And now after Dancing with the Devil doc series we know she was more then hungover. She’s really professional and really good at hiding how she really feels

This has to be the most powerful and skilled performance from someone who not even mere hours before was throwing up from a wicked hangover she is a fucking legend.

Seeing Demi Lovato's simply complicated documentary and realizing how she could still perform like this and have such a huge depression (hangover at this video even).. I have so much respect for how she radically changed her life. I could not be more proud of what it means to be a lovatic. Its a way of being inspired and inspiring.

Demi is the only artist who can sing perfectly with hungover. Ily. Still watching this in 2018.

One of the best singers..i love her..

And this is singing people.Demi has a belting range which is strong and accessed via healthy technique which means Demi actually sings the notes, oppose to shouting them out. It's not like others singers who doesn't keep a neutral larynx and belts are very forced, throaty, and coarse. Demi has a good voice and also a good technique. Way to go girl!

all the performances of Demi and Miley are so gorgeous and emotionally :) today is the day that i'll spend time on watching all their old live songs.

You can hear it in her voice. She's straining to hit some of the high notes. You can tell she isn't at her best, and we now know why. So proud of what she's accomplished for herself since then

I'm amazed by the improvements she made when I first heard her sing (Camp Rock). I love that she's using vibrato now. She sounded too loud for me during her Camp Rock years.

She was so good at covering up what was going on in her life.. wow you never know what someones going through

She is such a strong, inspirational lady with real talent. Definitely one of the best women in the entertainment industry these days. Shes so beautiful and classy doesn't have to curse or sexualise her songs for them to sell, can actually sing and carries herself with such grace - she is a fighter and I never really used to listen to her but her story has helped a lot of people and I just think she's incredible woman :-)

Incredible to sing like that during hungover, in this tight outfit and complicated highheels. She can really sing.

This was one of my favourite performances. And then saw the documentary when she said she was severely hungover during this and my heart dropped. But it does prove that one rehab stint doesn't solve everything. It's all about the steps you take after treatment. Proud of her for coming forth and taking those steps.

You could never know what someone is going through... Be nice to others and true to yourself.. You are an inspiration Demi. Love you
