& the fact that we keep losing all these young artists due to overdose or drug related incidents just makes this harder to watch because most of them didn't live to tell their story or let us in on the days that led up to their death. So grateful for Demi's life. what should i watch next?

fem wynn It may not really be a Disney thing, I think it has more to do with the fact that girls feel more pressured by society then boys to live up to these unrealistic standards and ideals of perfection. Not to mention all the bullshit that comes with fame already. Growing up in the limelight is going to bring more hardships.

*As someone in the midst of Depression/Anxiety (Anxiety is so bad I can’t leave the house) this is how I feel. I have prayed/asked for help & just felt like there was no point! I cry every time I watch/listen to this. I downloaded it. Her voice in this song is STUNNING!! She’s a beautiful woman. I hope I get to the other side like her. But I’m just grateful that I have my family tbh! Or I wouldn’t be here....*

Anxiety is a nightmare, I've been anxious in school everyday and consequently having low self-esteem and depression. It's so hard, I can't even focus on my studies and had cognitive impairments, inability to focus, concentrate and forget things easily. I also had suicidal thoughts but because of Demi I became a tough warrior. Now I'm still battling with anxiety especially social anxiety, low self-esteem and depression.

You make so much sense. Demi was emotional about the song and also being back on the stage after more then a year, but she was also close to Kobe and knowing that he passed and his 13 yr old daughter also passed hit her because that could have been her in 2018 when she overdosed.

It defiantly brought me to tears because I've know so many people I've loved that have suffered from addiction and depression that have probably felt just like this.

I used to feel no one was listening when i prayed as well but i later learned it was because my connection and relationship with God was lacking on my part. I expected him to bless me with out putting in the work with his and i relationship. But, i’ve grown so much stronger in my relationship with God simply by talking to him and doing a daily devotion. Of course i’m still a work in progress, but the progression is what’s important. Demis song was beautiful! I’m so happy that she’s in a better place in life! God Bless her ❤️

There was a time in my life I felt so alone. I lost my dad back in 2009, I wasn’t seeing the point of living, but I kept thinking of what my mom would go through. This kept me from harming myself. I cry every time I hear this song. I wish I could hug her too and tell her how much we love her. To never forget all the love we have for her. 💜

I recently shared some of story on your “lose you to love me video”. I was homeless 3 years ago and this song took me right back to how I felt in that time of misery. When I say I lost everything, I mean everything. My fiancé, my 2 month old, my bed, all of my friends, my home, I had my car and my clothes in it with no money and positive pregnancy test. I went to bed at night smelling my son’s clothes crying because I wanted him back so bad I couldn’t bare it. I was suicidal for months. I believed that was my hell. God. Will. Deliver. You. From. Every. Single. Thing. That. Is. Bringing. You. Pain. He broke me to change me. Through losing myself, I gained Jesus. God granted me way more than what I prayed for 3 years ago. I just wanted my son back, but he gave me EVERYTHING even salvation. My God is a way maker! Love y’all. RIP Kobe, GiGi and the 7 other passengers.

Music is supposed to make you feel it deep down in your soul!!! This song gets me for two reasons first, as a child I was Sexually Assaulted by an adult family member and no one believed me! Second, because my beautiful niece overdosed and did not make it, and it hurts my soul to think these thoughts may have been the last thoughts on her mind...as she shot that Heroin into her arm!!

Im a empath and some of these songs rattle my soul. It hard to put into words. Demi has one of those rare powerful voices. Very recognizable like P!nk, Cher, Christina Aguilera, Dolly, Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, and so many others. Demi Lovato has a way of pulling her listeners in and wrapping them in her song. Brilliant singer

I know exactly what you are saying. This is her story fully, how she was feeling 4 days before she OD'd, how she was feeling for years before she recorded this song. This is how she feels in her heart of hearts. She is probably feeling like she has been through so much destructive behavior to her own body, and kobe died from a accident along with his young daughter. If anyone was supposed to die young it would have been her. (NOT SAYING WE WANT THIS OR ANYWAY!!!!) but almost like survivors guilt. She is probably feeling like she has not a second, or a third, or maybe even a fourth chance, she has had so many chances to start picking herself back up from rock bottom and now here is she doing it with this song. The same song she recorded days before her OD, the same song she feels so deeply today. We just don't get this type of music very often and i feel like Demi has been putting things like this out here for us to hear for the last few years. Especially with her song Sober.

The best part of songs made from raw emotion is when you can feel the energy of it in your bone, down to every last atom in your being. When it shakes you at your core. That's something powerful, and it's why I believe music is the universal language because no matter where you are from or who you are that power can be felt.

I like your reaction. You share words of wisdom. There is definitely nothing wrong with your reaction to music... music is a spiritual medium in my humble opinion and that's why you feel it! I totally agree with everything you shared here. Thank you!

She wrote 4 days before we almost lost her. So if you have anything negative to say bout it in the comments you don’t have a soul. 💔. Love Demi ❤️ You should do more Demi! She is one of the best..

Having learned that Demi wrote that song only four days before she overdosed, this is basically her cry for help and the people who were around her then didn't care enough about how she was feeling or that she needed help. I hope she's got a better support system around her because the woman deserves it. She deserves to be happy, and I hope she finds it someday.

She wrote this song four days before her overdose. This is probably so emotional for her because this is a very intimate look into what it's like in those moments when you feel so alone that you turn to drugs. So hard to watch without crying.

People like these deserve the award in my opinion, not like i disrespect the people who got the award but these deeply touch peoples and it has emotions. I cried for this one and "first man" by camila. Sorry for wasting your time reading this comment.
