Working on building a station as the last leg of reorganizing my shop and decided to use your frame design. I built one half yesterday and will finish it during Memorial day weekend. I'm cutting all the 2x4s down to 3 inch and sanding everything before assembly because I figure I'll be using it for years, so make it nice. So, that adds a few hours of labor, but otherwise this design is quick and easy.

Brilliant.excellent explanation. Very much appreciated by a novice wantobee woodworker.

You have almost exactly the same work bench/ desk that I built 15 years ago. This helps for my planning the miter saw table upgrade in the shop. Lol, I did not haft to wait 2 years either ! (:D)

My version of your miter saw station and cabnets are turning out great. However, I'm starting the drawer build now and just noticed the cut sheet didn't include the sliding drawer bottoms. I'm assuming they are cut from 3/4" plywood?

need have just plans for the cabinets and drawers for miter saw bench. Some have already bought plans for the bench

How did you do the hinges with that overlay on the left side cabinet? You said you used 1/2 overlay but how is that possible in the one spot between the shelf pin cabinet and pull out cabinet? Did you use different hinges for that one spot? Or is there a way to set them differently to turn them into 1/4 overlay? (Everything I read says you can adjust them up to 2mm). Or am I overthinking this? Are you able to adjust it down enough to get the overlay plus the 1/4” reveal. (Past the 2mm adjustment I’m reading on the specs).

Great Video. Exactly what I am looking for. Did you attach it to the wall when you had installed the drawers and cupboards or was it still able to be moved.

I have purchased your plans. Very excited to get started on this project. Just going through them and writing my materials list. I am in Australia so our timber is different over here. We don't have 2 x 4 for a start that will be 90 mm x 45 mm for the frame. I am going to use Marine plywood for the top and will do the frame and top first then come back and do the drawers and cupboards later for which I will possibly get birch plywood. Yet to decide. Anyway my question is where on the 3/4 Plywood Cut Sheets is the mitre saw top. I know mine will probably be different but I can add the extra width for that but seems to be missing. I will probably buy 2 sheets of Marine Plywood which is 2440mm x 1220mm x 18mm for the top. I will then have to shuffle the rest around the other sheets when finishing it off but thought if I could see where the gaps were I could move them around.

@@CathyEbs the plywood for the saw platform isn't on the cut sheet since the size will depend on the size of your saw

What was the thickness of the plywood used for the cabintes and drawers?

3/4 for cabinets and drawer faces, 1/2 for drawer boxes

Birch for the Drawer faces and doors, Sande for the carcus

Just built the first part of this, and man my garage floor has a 3 inch slope at the long end, bummer.
