    Words can't describe how brilliant it is that you have come home to Magic. I've been a fan since the days of OG Gwent, and you are consistently the greatest content creator in all of card games, bar none, and Magic is clearly the best game of a very crowded field. Just absolute brilliance here. I'd just like to say that I absolutely LOVE your in-depth deck techs, and don't think you should worry about shortening them, because people can always just skip ahead to the games if they want. Especially for people new to Magic, having the insight of why the deck is built the way it is makes playing it SO much more rewarding.

  • @adamgalloy9371

    I've noticed that Magic is one of the only card games that "gets away with" hand disruption. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure the player who had to exile four cards in one turn had some choice words about the situation, but when I look at other game's fan bases they absolutely HATE hand disruption in just about any form. Not sure what it is that makes Magic players seem more tolerant of it in general. Can't tell if it's something about Magic's design that somehow makes hand disruption less frustrating than other games, or if Magic players are just sort of built differently that way.

    Mog, I'm pretty new at this game and I just started by playing mono black since I always love shadow isle back in my runeterra days, what should I do with the gold I earned? should I buy booster packs or something? idk how to collect cards in this game tbh, in runeterra you can buy the cards with the gold you earned but in here it seems like there's only booster packs? I'm free to play player when it comes to card games so this is really confusing

    I highly recommend doing the jump in events after you do the colour challenges and getting those decks. Try saving wildcards as there’s a rotation coming up. After you do jump in event at least 15x start opening packs (although I would save for bloomburrow) I’m coming from LoR as well and this game is WAY more stingy when it comes to new players.

    All i did was spend money on the latest standard set everytime and i got by pretty easily. For gold, just do dailies and weekly wins and youre fine for the most part. The most important part obv is building a deck you can play and enjoy for a long time to farm gold with lol

  • @adamgalloy9371

    @adamgalloy9371

    Golds' two main uses are packs or draft events. For a beginner you are probably going to spend that on packs. Unfortunately, there is no way to directly purchase cards unless you count the rare wildcard you get after every sixth pack is opened. As much as I like Magic as a game, its free to play economy isn't very generous. That said, draft events can be a fun and surprisingly efficient way to build your collection since you keep the cards you draft, win packs for doing well, and win gems that can go towards another draft event (I think 5 wins before 3 losses is what it takes to get another full draft, with the potential to "go infinite" if you keep doing well and accumulate resources faster than you lose them). However, this assumes you both enjoy drafting and can maintain a good enough record. If you are interested, there are a variety of Magic channels focused on draft (Nizzahon Magic and BronzeToMythic are two that I watch occasionally). Drafting can be really fun. I usually start out a new set by drafting until I run out of resources, and then use my drafted cards and prizes to build a Standard deck or two and build up gold for the next round of drafts. I find this to be a pretty satisfying loop that prevents me from getting burned out on either format. It's my "solution" to the free-to-play economy. Of course, it's a steep learning curve on top of everything else you are already trying to learn, and not everyone enjoys it as much as I do. Starting out it may be a bit much for you unless you have experience with drafting in other card games, but knowing the option exists may be helpful.

    Can someone explain the exile mechanic please ? Sometimes people can play they cards from exile if they want (for example with the plot mechanic) Sometimes exiled cards seem to be destroyed forever. Here, with the Snail in this deck, how do the opponent actually get their card back ?

  • @ashutoshmohapatra7320

    @ashutoshmohapatra7320

    15 күн бұрын

    Unless it is specified a mechanic, exile is a zone where you normally can't interact with. Of course, there are some mechanics like the Adventure or Plot which exile the card and you can play it later but that is mechanic-specific. In general, if your card is exiled by the opponent, it's gone for good in most cases.

  • @antongrigoryev6381

    @antongrigoryev6381

    15 күн бұрын

    Normally Exile is place where nothing can get cards from. It's like the ultimate uninteractive graveyard. In that case there's no way to get the card back. But some specific cards use the exile mechanic as a way to "set aside" certain cards to use them in some way later. These specific cards do say under what conditions cards exiled by them can be used, but the exiled cards are still uninteractive in any other way.
