Hooray!!! Another unit has been saved! Thanks to Captain STR6053N and his Genius Side kick Boy Wonder TEVZ.. The same procedure, always remove the PWM ic before making a power supply conversion.... Ps: Love that striking "Blue Shorts"of yours, having half naked and exposing your belly "navel" (pusod)... "Apaonay" Dakkel ti tiyan 😊....

Very nice repair brother. I can suggest you another STR and that will be a good choice for this type of modifications . You can use 5LO380R , it's a 4 leg package .

How about the 103 ceramic capacitor across pin 3 & pin 4 of the optocoupler! Will it be OK without that capacitor?

Br means brown out. It is connected to the means its disabled.

sony are many different kinds of trouble. It may be the power supply or the main board is the problem.

We can use STR for satellite receiver? (Decoder)

Hello good day sir, i have the same monitor and the issue is 1 of the capacitors become shorted and burned the pcb (i cleaned it with brush and i test it before the burning occur if its stil working they stuck it in storage room and didnt use for many years) i dont have available components so may i ask if can i replace it with a different capacitor or value? the value of ceramic capacitor is 18J3KV ceramic disk capacitor and there is another issue, it has a vertical line on the screen i guess the issue is related to the panel so there are many things to troubleshoot. Yes, it will work on any ceramic capacitors. about the vertical line is another issue, the LCD panel.

Hello, I've seen all your video on power modification and I enjoyed all but I'm yet to see something different. Your power modification has helped me a lot. I know I've tried on china universal board, it worked also tried it on Samsung TV power supply, it worked. I saw a power that is completely different. The power supply is using IC number DP2308 Digital Multi-Mode PFC + LLC Combo Controller connected to 3 different MOSFETs I had to leave it and seek help from the master to tell me what to do. I will be so grateful if you can tell me what to do Thanks Waiting for your response

DP2308 is a PFC + LLC controler, This modification will not work. Try to replace the DP2308 and other faulty components.

@@tevzTVTevatronics I know this suggestion will sound stupid, but I think it's worth a try. Have you thought of using 3 STRs? Since that IC from the datasheet has 3 output to the drain. I would like you to look into it and see if it's possible

In my opinion it is only half a fix. What about that surface mount IC you took off.
