What is the brand of ssd? I am looking at upgrading but cant find anything compatible

I have all the screws out but I cannot get the back cover off. I have pulled, pried, and done everything but break it. The top, or battery end lifts right up. But the bottom is stuck. edit: I had to take a plastic hammer and pound on the back driving it to the stuck end.

The Dell latitude e6420 unofficially supports 16gb of ram. I put 2 8gb sticks. I am running bios A25

I’ve done all of that now the laptop screen is not coming on

how big of a difference is a ssd, i got a 5400rpm 500gb in mine thats really old, and the laptop is like painfully slow at this point

I just took out my hard drive from my laptop but when i put it back one screw won’t go in and it says no hard drive detected could someone pls help me

I had the exact same problem. Turns out the drive seemed to seat but it didn’t. It went all the way in but was missing the socket. I discovered this after pulling the back off and observing the seating operation. Once I seated it properly, the 4 screws then tightened properly.

Hi, yes and ADATA SSD are compete junk i don't use them because high failure rate, i recommend you use samsung evo or crucial mx series SSD.

Dell says 8 but you'll find many people saying they put in 16 and it works fine.
