No there is no such a performance boost if you add more Ram but if you are using programs like Adobe After Effects (Video Editors) which render speed depends on Ram then it is really good and it renders videos at faster rate so it means add more ram only if it is needed else there is no such difference by increasing it. P.S

There should be two 4gb DDR3 ram in order to get 8gb ram. You know it's simple maths 4+4=8

@@Guddu_pandith528 depends on your laptop bro if your laptop supports more ram you can easily get your laptop to a closest pc parts shop and upgrade your ram in about 5minutes or you can buy it online if you kniw how to install it yourself ,and yess ssd makes your laptop super fast,apps will launch much faster with ssd,and the only downside to ssd is that they are so expensive and they have much lower life expectancy than hdd,i mean if you have a simple hdd it can maybe work for about 10years but for ssd if you use your drive too much it will work for about half of that time.

I have the same laptop and I want to upgrade the ram Specs:i5 2gen Nvidia geforve gt525m 4 GB ram Windows 7 home basic It can run almost all games at an average of low-med settings and low end games at high settings I want o add 4 GB of ram mainly for better gaming ... Will adding 4 GB more ram have a significant improvement on games.... I really want to meet at least minimum requirements for watch dogs (6 gigs ram ) and be able to play GTA v .. Thanks
