@@Mmat2016 So far, I think it's amazing. Brightness is more than enough for me. I had a LG 27GR95QE before and the difference is night and day. Glossy really beats matte.I heard the MSI QD Oled is great too. Had to reduce the rgb on my keyboard though, and place the monitor a little further, I could see the reflection of the keyboard lights on the screen.

I don't really feel like using first generation QD-OLED burn in test results to talk about the as-of-yet untested 3rd generation QD-OLED panels and how burn in resistant they are in comparison to WOLED is a responsible choice. Especially since great strides have been made since the first gen panels came out in terms of longevity.

Bought this as soon as it came out and while I did love it at first, there are a lot of compromises Dell forces on you from logo dimming to gamma. I upgraded to the ASUS PG32UCDM and it’s amazing because it has two sRGB modes that target two different gammas (2.2 and sRGB) and these two are very different looking. The problem with the AW2725DF is that by only tracking the sRGB gamma in SDR makes single player games look really washed out. Aside from that I had some strange stuttering from time to time with Halo 3 at over 500 FPS running the monitor at 360Hz and VRR never worked as smoothly as the 27GR95QE I had before it. There’s a reason all of these 360Hz QD-OLED’s aren’t G-Sync compatible and I think there’s more to the story there as the AW3225QF is.

  • @adrianomart

2.2 gamma is definitely washed out, but 2.4 looks alright for most content and 2.6 can give a contrasty look if the content itself is washed out

@@adrianomart2.2 settings is actually really accurate but it’s not targeting 2.2, it’s targeting sRGB gamma just like DCI-P3 mode that isn’t targeting D65 even though they said it was calibrated as such. A couple of weird details missed by Alienware here.

No. It's like having a freeway with a speedlimit of 100KM/60MPH and you're riding your normal bicycle as hard as you can. You're not reaching the limit. However, if you think you'll eventually upgrade, it's a nice future proof feature to have ready and waiting for your shiny new build. 60 to 144hz is huge. 144 to 240hz is less. 240 to 360hz maybe a pro/aspiring E-sports gamer might notice.

@@0mnis14sh makes sense but 200hz on tv for strobing is started off as a colour thing due to the white backlight washing out the colours and then as a motion clarity thing due to residue from previous frames.
