Would have been nice to have the space between as covered outdoor area, fence in the back and nice little haven. Still love the two buildings together, they lend more architectural eye appeal and more safety in more buildings to connect spaces.

Great Karl! I'd be getting some mouse bait under and around my buildings. I live out in the county. I get mouse bait at my local farm coop in small plastic buckets. I put the throw packets out until they are not eaten anymore. Mice have around a quarter acre roam range. The fall season is when they are really trying to get in to winter over. They get in your shop they will chew up all kinds of insulation, wires and things making nests and such. Beware of their droppings too. Good luck with your setup :)

Your building is the size of some of the hunting tents. And with you insulating it you could get by using one of the camp stove to heat your cabin and one for your garage. They don't take up a lot of space like a regular wood stove.

I reckon the kitchen would look best on the left when you walk in. You could have tiled area leading to the back door and potential connected bath house. That way you have a bright kitchen space and a cozy lounge area at the back where you mentioned you may put the kitchen. Just think a kitchen with a vast view of the landscape is something that will never get old and can only enrich your living experience. That moving machine is a beast. Awesome video :)

It always amazes me how they move buildings like that and I never get tired of watching it. We have the same type of roofing on our back verandah, and we find we need to water blast it once a year with a pressure water blasting machine to clean it of leaves and mould, because even a big rain storm isn't good enough to clean it, so the light still comes through, interesting video thanks. Beautiful property. Love the cabin and garage. I think I would be paranoid and put an enclosed breezeway between buildings. Just safer if there is any threats plus keeps dirt out of the cabin by changing shoes in the garage or breezeway. My dream had been a tiny house in a peaceful setting. Could you give square footage of the main floor of the cabin please?
@karlsoffthegrid1378

Susan Anderson The main floor is a little smaller because you lose space with the porch. It’s roughly 14‘ x 22‘ without the area of the porch. The whole building is 14 x 28 feet

@karlsoffthegrid1378

Susan Anderson The main floor is a little smaller because you lose space with the porch. It’s roughly 14‘ x 22‘ without the area of the porch. The whole building is 14 x 28 feet
