Delhi Mumbai Expressway - Old vs New Highway Comparison | Delhi to Jaipur Driving Experience | autoX

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Quite recently, the first leg of the under construction Delhi-Mumbai Expressway was opened up for the public. It starts at Sohna near Gurgaon and ends at Dausa near Jaipur. To find out if the new expressway made any difference in the Delhi to Jaipur journey, we undertook one such journey our self by doing a small comparison test between the two. Watch the video to know what we found out.

Unfortunately you tried your best to prove that the old highway is still better than the new express way. I travel twice a week fromJaipur to gurgaon by old highwaty by bus and it is pathetic. Where I travelled the express way once by car and barely took 3 hours. 1. You chose the wrong destination. The center of Jaipur is albert hall. Jaigarh fort already is on delhi road. 2. It seems that you intentionally drove the car below 100 instead of 120 speed on the new express way. 3. Agra dausa Highway is much faster, clean, and a car can easily be driven on an avg speed of 80 km hr.but you didn't. Old highway is shit. While driving on that looks you are fighting with yamraj all the time.

we have had many trips to jaipur and i remember that once we started from gurgaon around 7 am and reached jaipur around 10:30 am. by the way another expressway is under construction for travelling from delhi to jaipur. it will originate from kherki toll plaza and end at chandwaji near Jaipur and would be of length 195km.

Although the road connecting Tuticorin and Madurai is not an expressway per se, it is one of the best roads down south. The landscape is so barren, it is hot in the afternoons and not much of traffic. I have covered the distance of 140km in like an hour and 15 minutes and there was traffic when I neared Madurai. And the road between Ranipet and Krishnagiri is 6 lane and has sparse traffic at early hours. Although I have driven between Bengaluru and Mysore a few times, I'm yet to drive on the expressway and I'm looking forward to it

I just went to jaipur this friday. And below is my view point. I believe if you leave around 6 am from iffco chowk gurgaon in the morning old highway is great. While if you come in peak traffic hours new highway is great. Also cruising at 110-120 gives less milleage compared to drive on old highway if started journey 6 in the morning.
