Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

At last, time to get rid of the horrible Triumph factory back lights. in favour of a neat tail tidy and indicator set from Motone. www.motone.co.uk

Love these videos. Bike looks brilliant mate. I'd love to have a triumph scrambler but I'm 17 so I can only have 125 unfortunately. But when I'm 24 I'll get myself a scrambler. Kind of a family thing having triumph.

Thanks for the video DelBoy. Just fitted my new Motone to my 18 Street Cup which looks the Bollon with the tail tidy now bringing up to Cafe Racer sexy. Your double check before the hard wire was very useful and checked each one as I crimped and sealed in. Cheers. I shall try and post a photo of it in here.

Thank you for this (and every) video. Yesterday i had to replace my rear turn signals (with an OEM replacement, not a tail tidy) and this video helped me get where i needed to be to get a good start on the job. Most difficult part was undoing the wire harness clip for the taillight/turn signal assembly. (I also had to drill holes in the plastic piece in order to mount my license plate, but that might just be an American problem). If anyone else has trouble with the wire harness clip: if you're looking at the clip, there are two tiny side clips and one clip/switch thing on top. Ignore the side clips and just loosen the top clip and it'll come undone easily!

+Moonfleet41 Cheers Del - Just a matter of timing - do I go get a "classic" air/oil cooled Scrambler now whilst I still can, or do I wait until the new revamped models are available (not sure how the water cooled thing will pan out and aren't convinced a Bonnie needs 95hp for gentle cruising of country lanes...ABS would be nice though). Guess I will have to see what we learn from the big Triumph reveal promised for October 28th! In the meantime will re-enjoy your Scrambler back catalogue.....

+TheMissendenFlyer I am hearing the same turmoil from many would be buys right now buddy, and i can understand it....but for me, the price would decide it... the new bike will be hellish pricey in the face of the 865...and like you said, you dont need the power, you'd be better buying the smaller bike and spending the rest on improving the handling so you can ride it like you stole it all th time... lol

  • @TheMissendenFlyer

    @TheMissendenFlyer

+Moonfleet41 ....very true, but I'd be gutted if the new range turn out to be absolutely stonking (I'm thinking scrambler with tidy back end to start with, Ohlin's, Brembos, fancy paint job, ABS, a loud stock exhaust, slightly reduced weight, a fuel gauge......ok, we can all dream). So I'll hold on to my pennies and see what next weeks announcements bring, then if they look like they've made a dogs breakfast of it I'll be down the dealer for an 865 pronto!! To be honest it's partly the decision making and anticipation that's the fun!! Thanks for all the advice and guidance, keep up the great work & apologies I also ride the GS ;0) - all the best - TMF.

just replaced the botch up that was a fender on my Bandit 12, the nice dude before me kept the standard plugs for the light and indicators, he cut the standard wires past the connectors on the peripheral side and then added bullets to the aftermarket bits and what was left of the standard wires... I was sooooooooooooooooo relieved as I do all my work alfresco in Scotland!! Just a heads up if anyone is interested the mk1 Bandit 600 fender is the same part number as the 1200. Note: some mk1 model 600's changed later on but the early ones are exactly the same.

Hi Del, I do think that looks nice and sporty, and if my rear fender was plastic id go for it,but I hate to waste good steel, unless its banged from a wreck or messed up. Also, I like leds but when the individual lites start dying, it looks like rubbish. I think they make replaceable single LEDs, but I guess that defeats the look of two dozen tiny lamps. I do like the look of the wide rear tire with a minimal fender. Nice look my friend, thanks for the vid.

I like that FEK or tail tidy, looks stronger than the one I had on my Thruxton that bounced all over the place with the weight of the rego plate...ended up being grabbed by the rear tyre. The police were clamping down on the angle of rear plates so I fitted a matt black rear mudguard with a LED Lucas light on a Maundspeed mount. The EFI Thruxton has a longer swing arm decreasing the clearance between the tyre & rego plate. Might see if I can just pick up the bracket from Motone Cheers Terry

Sadly that the drill with Motone parts.... they dont seem to bother taking the time to include a few rudimentary guidelines so you can install their parts safely... this is why i always use TEC bike parts these days, they take the trouble to care..!

Yes, they do indeed have some great parts, just wish they would take the trouble to make some instructions seeing as their parts are bought by private owners who fit things themselves, and not shops... wouldn't take them long, and would be a much better all round service..!

Such a great channel. I would never of had the confidence to touch my Bonny in any kind of modification voyage. I’ve been watching Delboy’s garage every other day for months and ordering bits and bobs. As a result I’ve not only fully serviced my Triumph, I’ve also taken it from a factory standard model to something that turns heads and starts conversations everywhere I go. Last week I wrapped the exhausts, today I put new short, shinny black break and clutch levers on. I always thought I would need a double garage with 5 grands worth of tools before being able to start tinkering with my bike in this way, but I’m doing all this in the driveway with a motorbike socket set, a standard tool box and an iPad. 😬

Amazing video! I have a 2016 T100 and just did a tail tidy, after getting a Motone plug and play, I plugged all the wires into the right spots, all the lights (brake, 2 indicators) work perfectly. After about 3-4 hours, I went back to my bike and tried to start it up and notice the battery was drained. Any idea what could have happened? Perhaps not properly crimped or connected?

Excellent vid! Do you have any input on clearance issues between Motone's Lucas and Miller style taillight/ fender assemblies? I like the Lucas, but to be different, I kind of want to put on the stainless steel Miller, but wonder if there is a greater chance of the tire eating the license plate bracket. The Miller light/bracket looks like it hangs down closer to the tire. I have an '09 Bonnie SE Mag.

The only problem with multi LEDs, is when the individual lights start to fail. At least that's how car LEDs are. Maybe the newer ones u can replace individual bulbs. Single LEDs are nice though. I wonder if cutting the original rear fender would be a thought, rather than spending money on a tiny piece of sheet aluminum. Guess though u wouldn't have a rolled end, like the factory fender has. Looks good.

Help us out PLEASE!! 2017 OR 2015 BONNY T100???? I love the sound of the 270 crank in the 2017 bonny, but how much different is the 360 in the older model??? Is an extra £1500 for the newer bike (used prices) worth it?? Abs, led light, USB, not sure I need all that, but the wider wheels are a bonus, and the the slightly bigger cc. Dunno? Air cooled, water cooled??? Ahhhhhh 😆

  • @Moonfleet41

+terra hawk Yes it will mate, it fills the space left by the fender right out to the edges. even with the fender in place you get road water up under the seat anyway, so it wont be any worse. if you really wanted to make it water tight, you could silicone along the joint between the plate and the frame... Thanks for watching buddy.. Del.
