Chino has the best voice for raspy, heavy and melodic. No one can do it quite like him. Deftones have stood the test of time and I still love them in 2020. RIP Chi Cheng.

Yea what helps them hold up from other rock and metal bands from the time what that they were just straight up no gimmicks. Not that there weren’t other bands like that at the time (Tool, SOAD, Mastodon, Gojira) but Deftones really did have a true sound that was all their own.

I dont see a problem at all with the crowd standing like card board cut outs. This song almost requires you focus solely on just how haunting it is, it makes you go somewhere else in your head. RIP Chi.

What I love about this performance is the actual difficulty hitting those notes on the chorus and Chino hits them for the most part. The thing with their music is it is all pretty hard to sing live vocally. Deftones forever!!!

I dont see a problem at all with the crowd standing like card board cut outs. This song almost requires you focus solely on just how haunting it is, it makes you go somewhere else in your head. RIP Chi.

@@ness1278 Yeah, have you ever seen the early SNL episode when the punk band Fear was the musical guest? John Belushi insisted on including them. The crowd made a mess! Note that a young Ian MacKaye is among said crowd.

I love this one but I have to give it to. Deftones digital bath live 2000. The effects they used on his voice made it so much better
1:56 that transition is amazing.... better than the album

What I love about this performance is the actual difficulty hitting those notes on the chorus and Chino hits them for the most part. The thing with their music is it is all pretty hard to sing live vocally. Deftones forever!!!

Respect man, was against the stage in April 1998, small bar venue and all of it was amazing but Chi was a constant presence and his dreads and screams were huge

I swear these crowded elitist pricks are in every comment section of every rock video on KZread and continuously bitch about how the crowd is taking in the show unless there are multiple walls of death, people swinging from the rafters, multiple circle pits, and people knocked unconscious.

Abe Cunningham is so underrated. This is such a unique drum part and really complex....it plays perfectly to the mood of the song.

Glad I can say I’ve seen these guys in concert multiple times on every album. Especially in the small hole in the wall venues back in the Adrenaline and Around the fur days.

lucky....i love me some Deftones, but they ALWAYS sounded muddy and brown noisy when i saw them...Pantera now, they are top 5 live band ive ever seen. up with Maiden, Rage Against the Machine, Muse and Tool.
