I love the white steel wheels, a nice nod to the old Landrovers

Just the look is enough to fall in love with this car.

Good to see that the new Defender has good ground clearance, approach/departure/break-over angles, low gear transfer case and center+rear diff locks. I only regret the wheel size being to big (18in min)and the air suspension that brings reliability questions.

New Defender is the most capable 4x4 we have ever produced - every design and engineering choice was selected to ensure that this is the case. We have reinvented the Defender for a modern audience with modern connectivity and comfort, but it retains characteristic Defender durability and capability.

Land Rover should also show behind the scenes to let people know how many times it broke for this 4 minutes shot.

This car is undoubtedly a ‘Smart’ car. I can’t wait to see the SVR version of the defender. I believe that this is the future of Luxury Off-roading

@@landrover You guys and girls have knocked it out the park with this one. I drove my first one today, and as a 30 year landy owner of everything from 200tdi 90s, to Discoveries of all but the very latest, this vehicle is absolutely exceptional. Its a world beater. There is NOTHING in the competitions line up that even gets close, it genuinely feels like its a full generation ahead of anything else you can buy. Amazing.

Truly an undisputed All-Terrain vehicle!

How can anyone not like this vehicle!

We can go everywhere because of this CAR

One of the most practical advance but ensure that your capabilities overcome the technology

This is a legitimate offroad vehicle. Yeah solid axles provide more travel and are easier to lift but this isn't the 1950's- the worlds infrastructure has developed alot since the defenders inception. Independent suspension with lockers and inline engines are totally the way to go for caravan towing and overland travel. Land rover really nailed it with this model. The new Defender is definately the king of 4x4's, and imo it beats the G Wagen and Land Cruiser in overall utility and usefulness.

The Guy Voice should be Ambassador of KZread

I was behind one yesterday in my Jeep XJ. Bigger IRL than it looks in the videos. Nice but too many electric things for me. Love to go out with one some time to see how it does offroad.

Impressive machine without doubt, but will the farmers and army buy it? You can watch tv from around the world, jungle, Artic, desert, there is usually a Land Rover and a JCB somewhere there. It would be great to see one with 3 sheep and a bale of straw in the back😁

While we can’t comment on specific customers, we can tell you that New Defender will be extraordinarily capable and tough while also delivering 21st Century comfort, driving dynamics and connectivity. This gives it broad appeal and the introduction of the 90 and 110 commercial derivatives next year will make it suited to a huge variety of customers.

Land Rover what about versatility? Here in Australia dual and single cab utilities are a massive market. The Hilux and Ranger are regular top sellers across all vehicle categories. Will there be a variant that caters to farmers, industry and recreational buyers needing the versatility of a Ute? It would be nice to see Land Rover in the mix.

it will be subjected to modification , tuning and redesigning from outside and inside beside try to enhance the performanceof very capable engines by other outside tuning and modification companies , their is need for a pickup in 110 - 130 and maybe a classic fully or semi open roof in the 90 .

This is the ultimate off road suv on the market

Great work to the people and designers at Land Rover. I hope to design for you one day.

thanks for the insights, looking forward to test drive this wonderful work of British motor engineering. 1:19 Electronic Active Differential, could you kindly share more info on how does it transmit power to tyres with most available grip ? Is it working between front and rear axles only i.e. central differential or for all individual wheels i.e. front , central and rear differential ? Is it using breaking individual wheels or dynamic torque vectoring with electronically controlled multi plate clutch to distribute the power to individual wheels ?
