i really appreciate your videos on basic sound design. The designs are minimal, appealing and easier to remember and develop.

Thank you 😋
Rapidly becoming my favourite KZread channel!... I'm guessing that the up/down cycle of the wavetable in Ableton was via an LFO, and the sweep upwards was an envelope applied at the same time?

You got it! I should probably have shown the mod matrix to illustrate. Next time I will.
Nice outro.

Just illustrating the sounds being used. I'm not much of an orchestrator, but thanks!
I've enjoyed yr Berlin school videos. if you did one trying to recreate schulze's syntorchestra pads that would be great bc there is no digital version vst or otherwise, AFAIK.

This is great. Thank you. The lights on the controller, are they lit up in a key where all the lighted buttons will sound good together?

You got exactly! It's a very convenient arrangement, and you can find it on a lot of the more recent grid controllers.
I am using Ableton Live 11 Lite, but my Analog synth seems to be different. I think the Filter 1 and Filter 2 are my AMP and FILTER, not sure. Also , I can’t get the sharp ADSR shape that you have. Is this because I am using the free version or did the layout change for the analog.adv ?

That video may be with an older version of Ableton and the panel of the analog device may have changed. Or due it being Lite it might be different, but you *should* be able to get close to the envelope...?

@synthseeker I did get close. I have been using FL Studio for years, so I am a little bit out of my comfort zone... I am trying out Ableton. It seems better to follow along with your tutorials, and I also noticed Jean Michel Jarre uses it as well. So I figured I would climb on aboard!
So, let me see if I'm getting this right: slow attack, slow decay, slow release? :D Great video! Ya know, it's funny, I rarely use synth pads in my synth music; I tend to use orchestral strings and brass for pads.
