Deep Sea Wreck Fishing - Exploring Shipwrecks Offshore in Rough Weather | The Fish Locker
Exploring new fishing grounds and finding hidden unfished shipwrecks is always very exciting for me. I love pushing the boundaries and challenging myself. I aren't happy just sitting and doing the same thing over and over. I had been waiting for the right conditions to target these deep offshore wrecks and today was the day. Very difficult to do but worth the effort!!!
Here are links to some of the tackle that I used in this video. I hope it helps.

This is the end of May 24. The forecast says rain, rain, rain how wrong can they be. We are the driest. Visit Norwich.
Hello John, I must say you have an enthusiastic manner to fishing that I have lost, I am now 80 yrs old, and do not know anyone who is an enthusiastic angler younger than 40 yrs, mainly because lack of fish combined with the cost of boat angling, so older anglers no longer take their sons/daughters boat fishing, but you are perhaps able to reach this niche market.
Yay my Sunday just got better thanks to you ❤ Greetings from Denmark 🇩🇰

My pleasure my friend.
Many years ago when I was a young teenager I went out on a tourist fishing boat from Weymouth and caught what can only be described as a plethora of big fat pouting. Nobody else on the boat wanted them so I took all the biggest, fattest ones in two carrier bags, and the skipper had the rest for crab and lobster bait. I was on a holiday camp-site at the time and had too many fish for my family BBQ, so I filleted the rest and gave them to my campsite neighbours. Those fish went down really well in what became a communal seafood and wine BBQ party on the holiday camp-site hosted impromptu by my (recently) late father. Pouting are not really the best fish to eat, but they're passable, and those ones in that situation and company became gold.

They always brighten your day don’t they.
I really enjoy your videos. My family were fishermen in Great Yarmouth and other places towards Cromer for a couple of hundred years. They were Royal Navy, longshoremen, sailing and steam drifter men and beachmen who made their living fishing and salvaging the many ships that went aground or wrecked on Scroby Sands and other banks around Yarmouth Roads. The beachmen saved the wrecked sailors lives too obviously. One of my relatives was killed when the Beaumont (lifeboat) turned turtle at Caister around 1900. My great grandfather captained a drifter up until he was in his 80's but went blind and had to give it all up, eventually dying in an air raid on Yarmouth at the age of 96 in 1941. My dad and my uncle went to sea to fish in their early teens. With all of that sea-faring history in my family, I've never been able to understand why I get so bloody seasick! I'd never be able to do anything except hang over the side in the chop you were in! Great Video!

Great video again John..tough day but a great ling for your perseverance.. shame about the nets makes me wonder how much of our stuff is on the ocean floor...I actually don't mind pouting for fish cakes but they're full of some kind of parasitic worm..I left a couple in the sink one night and the amount of worms that was bundled together out of the fish was unbelievable... I'm going back a few years now but my Nan and I made fish cakes and they were nice... and thank you for more education... I'm sure the dolphins know the sound of your boat and they're like yes... let's swim along with John locker.. he's a man of the sea..👍❤️
