If you are wheelchair bound by chance, the owners told me it is wheelchair accessible! I'm sure they wouldn't mind digging you a few buckets, but I could bring someone along to assist you! Happy Hunting!

Still worth the trip in a wheelchair if you can team up with one or two more able bodied rockhounds to go hunting with. Easy access, not down a long trail. Not to mention while you are there you can visit the nearby Gem and Mineral Museum in Franklin, NC. Get in contact with some locals that share the same passion in your area if you aren't too far away and you will surely find an easygoing crew to team up with for a final expedition or two :)

@@Tina-mt9cl Thanks so much for the info! Peace ✌️!
Matrix is the cutest little boy in the entire world. He sure loves his daddy! And we sure love watching y’all!!
The best editing and crystal gathering this side of the Atlantic! Keep it going as long as you can!!!!
It was a awesome day of digging. Very fun and dirty. 😁
A few years back I found a 25-carat octagonal ruby there. It cut out to a 6 1/2 carat star ruby. Absolutely gorgeous! It was a fun experience too.
That dog probably doesn’t realize how lucky he is to travel the country and hang outdoors and socialize with lot’s of enthusiast rock hounds. What a life! Matrix is a lucky dog. 😊
I SEE ME!!!!!!!!! The owner said the next time we come out to find him and he will take us to the old piles!! Much love! Had a great dig!! Willow

Most definitely! I put my blacklight on some of the rocks from here I was showing you when we were there. I've got one that glows light pink on one part. No idea what that means lol😅
I've been at that location many times. Love the owners. Enjoyed the hunt and found quite a few rubies and sapphires
I saw how your channel has grown so much recently. Thats so awesome and I love to see passionate people get progress like that. Ive been subscribed only for a couple years now. Love your videos and I always find myself coming back. You got me interested in gem mining a couple years ago but I still haven't had the chance to do it. One day it'll happen! Good luck on your adventures and thanks for the content!
Thank you so much for making that weekend the best. Getting to meet you and talk a little was awesome. 😊

Great video keep it up! I love to see people who are in love with what they do
I have been here just a few years ago. Loved it. Yes, we found rubies
Amazing video!! Thanks for sharing!!
Your dog is the sweetest thing ever! Love your content! ❤❤❤😊😊😊
My mother (RIP) was from St. Matthews S.C. Beautiful rubies and sapphires. I never knew about "salted" and "unsalted" mines. Thanks Brian for always taking us along on your adventures.
Really Great Find if that Sapphire turns out to be a Star Sapphire. Great find!
Whaaaaat?! Awesome!!
Best vid I've seen yet. Science and treasure hunting combined
Yes!💪 love you guys! And MATRIX 🐕 too! So excited and proud of you guys!
Will be heading there over the next couple of weeks. Starting at Hogg mine in GA and working my way back up. 😊
Ruby's are nice, thanks for the video
My family ran the Jacob's Ruby Mine from around 1995 to 2001. (Right next to Shuler, Holbrook and Gibson, the 3 original mines.) Most of the unsalted mines are gone. Glad there's a little left. The heyday was probably 1950's to 1990's although lots of salted mines the last few decades in that time range.

Took my kids there a few times. The family that owns the place are super nice. Stanislova is a wonderful lady.
Hey guy I had to resubscribe for some reason always love the finds
some nice finds well done 🎉
Do more of this! This is a great video
Awesome video Happy Holidays
It will be great if you can post some videos on your cutting & polishing of the gems you found, and show us those amazing finds 👍
we used to go there in the summers as kids..my two brothers went back 2 yrs ago and got some of the most beautiful garnets you ever saw..one was so big it made a ring and earrings so nice set in gold art deco style you can find so much there!! love it
Great video, I love seeing you working in my back yard 😆
Just want to let you know how much I enjoy your Chanel!
Cool bro!
Looks so fun. Sending luck and love from eastern NC. I have been to Mason Mountain Mine and flumed the native dirt. Very fun.
Some nice looking corundum
Thanks 😊
Rubies, Sapphires and Matrix oh my!!!🎉
Franklin North Carolina is also home to the annual gem and lapidary wholesale show which is not as big as the show in Tucson but it’s the next biggest after Tucson and if you can’t go to Tucson but you can go to Franklin North Carolina. It’s worth your while. Franklin, North Carolina is also home to the worlds largest sapphire in the museum section of the local gem shop.

I am from NC but from the eastern side. I did not know that we had a big gem show. Thank you so much for posting that information! I can’t travel to Tucson but I now live only 5.5 hours from Cherokee. Road trip!

Appreciate the info. Would be nice to find a hiddenite specimen.
Nice finds. I was there last year when the hole just starting. We didn't find anythng much but had fun.
good place for finding ruby ❤
Wow dude!!!! Freaking cool!!!
I would LOVE to go and find ruby!!!
Matrix is so adorable 🥰
I am also from SC. I have thought about going to this mine, but was worried it would be salted, so glad to hear it is not!
Searching! 😊💎
Make sure you go to emerald hollow mine while your in nc
That looks like a great location to find gold, too.
My wife and I stopped there on our way back to Massachusetts last year. The hole was allot smaller then but we still found some. This year we are off to Herkimer NY for some Diamonds
Congratulations
Hi love your videos
You should have your own TV show, they could call it "Geology Rocks!". Great video as always mate.
Great video! Looks like so much fun 😊 Just wanted to say that ruby and many other gemstones are okay to put in your mouth if you really have to lol 😉, however there are quite a few toxic rocks out there plus sometimes theres toxic stuff in the dirt naturally or via polution.
You need to check out shepfield mine in Franklin!! Amazing place and amazing experience
When you shake down the stones and wash them, the gems go to the bottom. Yes a piece of furniture foam cut to fit your screen and flip it over on the foam. Gems will be on top.
Been there, super nice guys! I got a big chunk of pure corundum and a few nice rubies
hoo boy, now you're getting the real big stuff! this is the biggest thing since your diamond!
I used to have a little dog your little buddy would have loved. She looked just like him. I miss her.
I love your videos, and 1 a week excites me. Are any of the sapphires "facet grade"? Great that the mine is not salted. I just watched a meMiner video, and his dog Shelby, also is a rockhound. I was thinking that he and Matrix, would become good friends, because they both love rockhounding.
We are from oconee county sc and are just now getting into rockhounding and tumbling and would love to go here.
Cool stuff thanks for sharing!! What makes the soil so yellow??
You should visit hogg mine in Georgia. Im going in autumn. They have classic crystals, tormaline, emerald i think or amethyst, baryl, aquamarine, and blue star quartz.
Cool
Awesome finds. New sub here.
Meriah sekali, nyimak batu ruby
I’ve been there they have good stuff
Cool spot, thanks for showing! What i'd do: Dont dig it, just grab it. Take all stuff from the side at home and use the UV.
nice......going to check to see if they mail bags of dirt to check at home, which I would love to do
Had no idea that you're in SC like me. New to the channel. Thought you were from Arkansas for some reason. Just got back from Franklin, NC. Have you checked out the Rose Creek Mine up there? You can dig your own native or get salted buckets. Can't wait to go back and check out some of the other mines. I just found out there's a mine in Antreville, SC. Diamond Hill mine. Might check that out sometime.
I've been there plenty of times, and processed at least 10 buckets. And never found anything bigger than tiny colors. My best finds were at another mine up the road
David Beckham was there!!! Cool! LOL.
Is rock hounding in NC still great? I have been watching older videos, and I am really wanting to take a trip up, I’m in FL. I introduced this hobby to my youngest granddaughter, and I think I have created a monster! 🤣😂🤣😂
So I don't have any hand to mouth habit... 🙄 I'm a...🧐 Scientist 😁!!! Thanks for another fun fulled aWeSoMe time ❣️💫
Which would you recommend more, Mason Mountain mine or Cherokee Ruby and Sapphire mine?
What were the blue ones glowing when you put your light on them?
5:31 "tadpoles (?) are part of nature." true that!
I've been watching your vids for a while now and I have a question. Why is it better to leave the crystal in the matrix? Does it improve its value?
Hay Crystal collector is there a way to clean tuff stuff of minerals water isn't working.
Bryan! Are any of these stones gem quality to be set into jewelry?
When you have such small rubies, sapphires and garnets, what do you do with them? I assume they’re too small to be cut and may have fractures.
I wish I could have been there Bryan. Looks like so much fun! How far down did you have to dig to get to that garnet layer? Was there dirt to dig as opposed to mud? Was one better than the other for finding crystals? Loved it!

That ruby is beautiful!! Of course, because God made it! 😊❤
When you were going through your pile you had some glowing blue. What were they
i saw you yt on the back of your camperrr
what was the mineral that was glowing blue under the UV light I was seeing?
That looks like a whole lota fun.... What do you think that girl's ruby would fetch?
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I wish i can do what you are doing❤❤❤
You want $20 bucks? Lol! Wasn’t expecting that!
Corundum is hard to dig,was it in clay?
What were the stones that glowed blue under uv ?
Did they find clear ones?
What are all of the blue glowing stones? Are those sapphires?
What are the bright blue stones lighting up?
I seen a lot of blue glow
How much is a ruby like you find worth per carat?
@TheCrystalCollector - Where can I find that SW UV light you use? Please link!
