Deep Purple sharing the stage with Ronnie James Dio and the London Symphony Orchestra. How did the building not explode from that much awesome concentrated in one place?
Hearing Dio singing on “Smoke…” is fantastic. Dio sounds phenomenal here. The whole ensemble look like they’re having a great time which shows in their performance.

Dude, this song had always been a masterpiece, but when Deep Purple performed it with Dio it turned into a true rock legend. If anyone dares to deny it, they have to get up their sorry a*s and leave the room, or better yet, the building. Hands down.

Both of these guys still have amazing pipes for there ages. I'm 58 and they have to be easily 10 years older than me. I was born in 65 and remember when this was on the radio as a kid. ROCK ON:)!!!

Mit 13 Jahren kam ich in Kontakt mit dieser einmaligen Band und Musik. Bis heute (60 Jahre jung) bleibt meine Faszination in allen Poren spürbar. Zuletzt life erlebt Stuttgart 16. Oktober. 22. Für mich die beste Band der Welt. Diese unglaubliche Perfektion jedes Einzelnen, diese Flexibilität, unglaubliche Kreativität und Aura ist einfach unerreicht. Siehe nur die Solo Erfolge. Welche Rock Band zuvor hat mit dem L.S.O. in der ehrwürdigen Royal Albert Hall in den 1970ern jemals ein Konzert gegeben? R.I.P. Jon Lord und Tommy Bolin. Ihr alle in der Band habt mein Leben und mein Verständnis zur Musik geprägt. Dafür danke ich euch allen ewig. 👍🤟😀

Этот первый участок начало композиции использовали как заставку в импровизации других музыкальных композиций.. Настолько это было популярно среди молодёжи в стране, и об этом никогда не говорят в официальных СМИ...

For those who think that classical musicians are stodgy, trust me, they love a good jam as much as anybody else. Purple, Dio, and LSO? This is brilliance cubed!

Earlier in this concert he sang "Sitting in a Dream" during which he demonstrated the pretty side of his tenor voice. Gillan sang that song during the live performance of "Butterfly Ball" because the story goes that Blackmore wouldn't let Dio leave his Rainbow commitment at the time so Gillan filled in at the last minute. Of course, Gillan nailed it. I appreciate how Dio gets a little lost for a second because it's not his song and Gillan respectfully helps him get back by pointing and mouthing the words to Dio. Then Dio thanks his friend with an arm gesture and singing "hey." Everyone is just having so much fun.

Bullshit - he was pretty woeful here. He let that part of the music down. He could sing when he was in Rainbow, but no match for Gillan on that day.

this is a social experiment Why are you writing nonsense contrary to the facts, because of absolute deafness or because of fanatic idiocy? After all, to any person with ears, it is very clear that Dio, forced next to Gillan to force his voice to the utmost (and speaking less politically correct - not to sing, but to yell) looked comical.

Lovely to see the ever-gentlemanly Jon Lord and Ronnie James in such good form and in such good company.
Love this. Steve plays amazing...but Ritchie show why he is a legend just with a few notes and vibrato
