20:40 that's why I like organizing by genre. That way I go to the movie section I'm in the mood for. That's how blockbuster did it. I feel like it's browse-friendly.

One of those movies i always wish i could watch for the first time again

I really like the theatre intro with the movie posters on the little building graphic. Great intro. The music even goes well. Feels very welcoming and comfortable. 👍

The Aliens 4K special features are so good! I took several days and absorbed ALL of them. They are so much more revealing than special features nowadays. This is one of the greatest movies of our time. Special Edition forever. Although I would have preferred the 4K to look more filmic like the Alien 1979 4K, I was very happy with the Aliens 4K.

I wish Aliens had a "mother" cut whereby the deleted scene 14:04 is included, but without all the other deleted scenes. It really anchors the maternity themes I always got a sense of in the franchise and it gives more solidity to Ripley's hyper dedication to Newt and that payoff at the end when she calls her mommy. You could even go so far into the themes of motherhood for Alien3 and how devastating Newt's death would've been for her. I think we don't take into account that Ripley has been in hypersleep in between movies with the aliens so that her entire life has completely been commandeered by aliens until she finally kind of 'accepts' their place in her life. That embrace of the queen she gives birth to in the third movie (yes I know she was trying to kill it too) just kind of brought that mother theme home to me.

Love these deep dives. I didnt see Aliens in the theater ( my parents wouldn't let me) we rented it on VHS for late night parties on my dad's 25 inch console tv. Now I watch on 80 inch Sony and 7.2 atmos and really enjoy the 4k HDR

The Abyss was 89 not Aliens lul

Aliens has some of most memorable lines in film history & are still repeated today many years later.

I'm not a MASSIVE fan of the series, and I'll openly admit I prefer the first Alien film to the sequel, but Aliens is one of my wife's all time favourites. It's one of the biggest comfort films for her, up there with Jurassic Park and Nightmare Before Christmas. The action and horror mix perfectly in this one. That much I will admit to. It's not a bad movie, not at all, I just prefer the suspenseful atmosphere in the original... Actually, one thing that came up recently during a rewatch was just how quotable the first one was compared to other films in the series, including the first one. It has more memorable lines than pretty much all the others put together. The wife's been watching it for 20+ years and only recently did we realize this 🤣 So yeah, great movie, it's not my favourite in the series, but it's still one of the best horror/action films ever made and well deserving of the praise it gets.

We need a shop that can buy back Physical Media because Half Price books says that physical media is almost worthless

I really want to sell my physical media to you it’s been rough for me selling because of the lowballing that has been happening to me

Sony just announced today that they are going to eliminate all blu ray discs soon right now they are laying off people but Blu Ray discs will be no more no word on the actual date what gets me is the music cds are booming and vinyl records what's going to happen when the streaming services crash and you can't watch a movie it's stupid what these companies are doing but like I said in earlier comment about a year ago your living in denial movie videos are going away

Aliens doesn't work well when we're older, I think. Way too popcorn. Ridley Scott's Alien is deeply disturbing, no matter how many times I watch it.

Nobody is buying videos and that a damn shame
