I’ve been obsessed with watching these room cleaning/depression pit cleaning videos because it makes me feel normal. I can’t be the only one.

I want to say it's so brave of you to post videos like this! I have depression, anxiety, and ADHD, and my room is a DISASTER! I really appreciate you for not only given a guided cleaning session, but for showing your room at its initial state. So many cleaning videos show a tiny mess and a bit of clutter and say "oh my God this is Sooooo bad guys don't judge me!" And then I look around my room that's 100x worse and feel even worse about myself, which makes me even less motivated to do anything. So thank you for being real with this! It means so much!

Swapping the location of the bed and dresser, and moving the desk to the wall across from the door would completely transform your space. As others have suggested I'd move the curtain rod higher and choose a new, black one (but ensure the texture is not heavy). The rug could stay where it is or be moved to underneath the bed again. Maybe give it a go! If you don't like it you can always put the pieces back as they are.

I think you should definitely get black curtain rods and maybe put them a bit higher than the window.

I am a very busy person and I struggle with a lot of anxiety, this makes me feel better seeing someone with a realistic looking room cleaning, because sometimes for weeks I just feel so stressed and exhausted that I can’t clean, I’m finally deep cleaning my room now

Would you ever rearrange your room? I'm someone who rearranges all the time don't ask me why lol. Also your idea with the black curtain rods would be amazing I want to suggest also to hang your curtains higher and finding different type of curtain to add a little more texture to your room

To give your room a little more inviting feel but still clean/fresh look, try using furniture and accent pieces with round edges, softer lighting options, fabrics with different textures, a plant or two, and a few items with pale neutral colors. Natural wood pieces also work great.

I think thicker curtains in white would look better,maybe patterned with silver/other light color. Black would take away from the serene n open look you have going on in ur room.
