I really hate when some dipstick says "this is real hunting and that is not..." I've personnaly hunted from a dug-out in a snow-bank, I've pushed woodlines on public land, spotted-and-stalked, I've sat in trees over scouted trails and water holes, I've sat in ground blinds, and I've hunted from open and enclosed towers over feeders and food plots. I've used rifle, air-gun, bow, and bare hands. I assure you...IT IS ALL HUNTING! Different styles, for different folks, in different parts of the world, under different conditions, hunting different game; but still hunting. Unless your stalking game with a spear or a willow bow strung w/guts slinging sharpened flint you're using a modern advantage to secure a successful harvest and it is still hunting. Only way its not hunting is if it's raised in a pen and led to its slaughter.

I like how Shane says u smell him, he's been dead for 24 hours. Wish I could have been here yesterday. Remember that it isn't too low as much as it's too far back. The goal is to time the shoulder when walking & slip the arrow in tight behind it. Not barking @ the deer to put it on alert. I really enjoyed this video but it's frustrating to see things that should be instinctive not instinctive @ all.

Your DADS scent gland did it, Ted you should always hunt on the ground, build your blind from stuff laying around, the charcoal was missing from your face this time, great job, I would tell your grand kids that your bow was soooo hard to pull back that you only had to hit them in the horn and they died of a broken neck, Jim las vegas nv, a trad hunter 80 yrs old, great job

Thanks for teaching commitment and determination to our younger generation. Most would have given up long before and that would have been a shame. Congratulations TED! You and I have that buck fever down pat. I'm liable to 10 ring one but I'm just as liable to send one to the moon because of those nerves

Great video. This one in particular showed me the importance of pre-planning (knowing the area and the availability of trackers), and planning a network of like minded, dedicated people to assist in the harvest. When we speak of confidence, it's not just the best equipment or the amount of target practice. Knowing that you are "not alone" further enables you to take the shot.

Quick tip for face paint instead of using the store bought kind wich smells of crayons and is costly use charcoal mashed with a little water it's 100% natural and free and scent free and stays on your face good to. And nice buck buck he's a stud!!

Great work everyone on staying determined to find the buck. I loved how happy Ted was when he first found his buck because I've been there before. It's not that you're just so happy to find your kill it's also that we love these animals we pursue and hate to see them suffer and just go to the other predators out in the wilderness (even though they need to eat also). Congratulations Ted and to all the THP crew on a great Hunt. I can't wait for the next video.
