My mother-in-law started me on collecting a new ornament every year that we’d been married which will be 40 years in May. I love all these ornaments. In 1982 she bought us one that says “First Christmas together”. I still love it.

Those things you collected are a type of confetti...made for holidays and special occasions. I've seen them sprinkled on tables around food offerings at baby showers and parties and such.

A big bow looks good on the top of the tree, too.

The white bells are crocheted and they are usually “sugared” to stiffen them. That’s how our tree topper is! I haven’t seen any like ours until yours!!!

The things you find and put in your pocket are a type of SEQUEN that people put in cards so when you open the card they fly everywhere! You can also sprinkle them around for table decorations. Look in the craft section or party section at stores.

This was the coolest video. Seeing all the ornaments that you each have to put on your tree. Gives me peace that there is something going on good in the world. I love all of your family, and it's so enjoyable to see all of you. Thank you for your beautiful music. Love Ann Marie in Utah.

I love how the Christmas decorations you love are the sentimental ones. In this day and age where everything has to be colour coordinated and perfect it is totally refreshing to see the love you have for your families and that you cherish the decorations someone has put their heart and soul into making or bought for you both with careful consideration. I hope you have many treasured Christmas’s together and every time you unpack those decorations it puts a smile on your heart and face. I’m very chuffed that you’ve chosen my birthday to get married on and I’m sure your love for each other will continue to grow as the years pass by...they certainly do fly by!

Awww, this made me feel a certain kinda way, hard to describe! It's those years on the ornaments ('93, '97)...when I got married, when our oldest was born...HOW'D THE TIME GO SO FAST?! Such a sweet first tree! I also have to have fake due to allergies. What I've always done is put the lights waaaay way way inside rather than on the outer branches, that way it truly looks like it's lit from within. Lovely first tree and congrats on your upcoming marriage :)

I love those stockings! After a quick Google search, the biggest difference between cross-stitch and other needlecrafts is that traditional cross-stitch uses exclusively X-shaped stitches. I really liked the turkey fan idea for a tree topper. I may try to bag a turkey next year and make a tree topper.

Making precious memories! I still have ornaments from the first tree my husband and I had in 1964! I put them on the tree every year. The stockings are needlepoint. I have the same kind for my family. Years from now y'all will remember this special time. God Bless!

Another great video! Every time I see Austin and Corie interacting in a video, it is so obvious that you belong together. Remember, if you are blessed with children, some good baby names to consider are Kendal, Kendra, Kenden, Kenneth, Kenjy, Kendrick, Kena, and Kenna to name a few.
