The nestlings polished off Dad's fish in 2 minutes and 53 seconds. They are also eating some very large bites now.
0:11 Dad flies in with a fish delivery
0:30 D26 grabs the first bite
0:33 D28 grabs his or her first bite while D27 remains sleeping
1:31 D27 heads for the chow line
1:38 D27 grabs his or her first bite
1:50 D27 grabs a bite off the table as Dad is pulling it
2:54 Dad feeds the fish tail to D27
3:22 Dad feeds a dropped bite to D27
3:44 D28 does a warble

#1 and #2 get to the food first, but in no time #3 is up and already stealing food from #2, who is in the middle once again where he gets his food ripped off from both sides. At 1:50 she has out flanked #2 and pushed him away from the food, and he looks on as if he's never seen the move before. #2 is really dumb. at 1:59 #3 has already eaten 12 bites, to the others 10 total. At 3:00 #2 has already left, hardly getting any food, while #3 is now stealing food from #1 as if he's not even there. #1 has let the nest go and she is now the leader, moving around at will and taking over first go in the food line. She has left #2 behind a long time ago and is now working on beating #1 for the boss of the nest. And, at 4:00 she's already scouting down range to see when the next food will be in.

The Raptor Resource Project designations for the eaglets are D26, D27 and D28. None of the nestlings are stealing food from one another in this video nor is there any behavior to indicate that any of the eaglets are "dumb". While it may be entertaining to make guesses there have been no beak/hallux measurements done, any blood nor DNA tests done on these eaglets so their gender is unknown. All of the eaglets have always been fed very well but not all are equally hungry at each meal so they eat or rest as they choose. The only boss on this nest is Mom.
