I went on a dig to find that dip line and I found that on the Adventure Time channel they changed the dip line to "and by proxy, y'all in hot water" I wonder why. kzread.info/dash/bejne/n4NksZuddajdktY.html I always thought it was like a stretch of a reference to The Dip from Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Which they used to destroy cartoon characters from the real world. That's why I tried finding it too see if I was crazy or missing context lol. But no I just always thought it was like a funny throw away thing of them being destroyed. And you saying the audience is the boss added to me believing it. But very interesting video. Always love wondering about Prismo.

The dip was paint thinners since they needed to reuse cell sheets for animation often so they had to literally destroy their old work to make new ones. such a sad truth really.

I think we underestimate the fact that Betty fused with Golb, i think when they fused both of their abilities combined, meaning that Betty basically became the embodiment of chaos, could we also asume Golb got smarter and more efficient at acting its chaos? That would explain the more chaotic feel of Ooo's Future

Or maybe something happened to Minerva and her AI turned rogue, or maybe it's not the Humans, maybe it was the pup kingdom or all kingdoms like a world war. (in the future slime kingdom and fire kingdom seem to still be at war)

I think it's a combination of the show's writers and the show's audience. The Cosmic Imagination. They do say that if a universe is left with no life forms to perceive it, it will vanish. I think the writers put that in there when they were facing threats from executives, saying that the show's audience was dipping low and they would soon face a cancellation.

Sounds like the big reveal of Neverending Story. I don’t think we’re meant to know who Prismo’s boss is, any more than we’re meant to know who Life’s dad is.

Yeah I somewhat agree. I think Adventure Time definitely has a lot of mysteries out there that are not meant to be solved. Just for the viewers to use their imagination to come up with outcomes.

Life's dad is an older version of Life. As we learn in "Together Again," Death and Life can die, making them some of the only primordial beings in the series to be mortal. They gave birth to New Death in that special, and they themselves were probably born from earlier versions of Life and Death. As for Prismo's boss, he's Pendleton Ward. He literally CREATED Adventure Time and everything and everyone in it. He's the equivalent of God in the AT universe because he decides everything that happens in it. That's just my take.

@@shybronyanimations5235 considering death leads to an after life in adventure time universe it is more so ''ceasing to exist'''. also so interesting. this is a universe where death and life and chaos are everwhere just like our world but at the same time they have a shape and form. and those forms can be hurt? death is one of the strongest characters in the show because he is death. and if there is any way to defeat him at all it would be related to life right? we need to think of this in simple and mythloigical ways. so yeah, ''kiss of life'' is how you defeat death in adventure time. It might be the only way as far as we know. But the thing is with death the character ceasing to exist, death is no more? sooooooo concept of death is indeed not defeated after all. and the form and shape just tranforms to whoever destroyed death with kiss of life. also new death's threat to finn when they met means death is one of the few beings who has the power to destroy someone for good. if death wanted your soul could vanish. maiden weapon they use in crossover also seems to be able to do this. it destroyed farmworld lich's body. in greek myth i think from non existance is born something and out of that is born chaos and so on. so in a way life's dad could be some primordial force. it would be funny if it was prismo's boss. all are very powerful creatures. Also in greek myth death is born nyx the night mother who is born from chaos i think. dead worlds are from dante so stuff like this might be the case. Another thing i find very interesting is golb. unlike death who can be replaced, who has tob e replaced because death will keep existing, golb is either too strong or he IS the chaos itself which is why they can't get rid of him. you can't get rid of death but the person embodying it in adventure time. to compensate someone else becomes death. however it seems if golb is defeated chaos is no more, which is an unimaginably big feat to achieve. almost anyone unable to do this, golb is unbeatable. it seems he is indeed a very primordial force whereas death, life, prismo etc. are all assigned their places to rule over these powers, interesting.

Honestly, I think the audience may Be the cosmic imagination instead of just one creature Edit: We all watch the reality that's Adventure Time, and if something can conflict enough with us that it could just wake up the one dreaming up the cosmic imagination (i.e. the Audience to lose interest in continuing to watch the show) then the universe goes out with a fart

⁠@@williammclean6594Prismo is there to observe the multiverse as well and since he’s immortal and no one is left to kill his physical body the cosmic imagination will live for an extremely long time. The only reason I could possibly think the cosmic imagination could die in that scenario is if Prismo gets bored after a certain amount of time and decides to make himself “disappear” if u know what I mean but even then it’s likely that the cosmic imagination (assuming it is Prismos boss) then it can just force Prismo not commit self termination or make a wish to restore all life

My favorite thing to think about is how Gunther is a cosmic monster and he dreams of being a lady bird falling in love 😭

just realized something. Finn technically never used his wish from Prismo since Jake essentially jumped timelines, so while farmworld finn did still exist that was that finn's wish and the one we follow for the rest of the series still has a wish from Prismo because he never made that wish to begin with, it's also likely why jake doesn't have a wish since he already used it to change the lich's wish which started that new timeline

All variations of Finn are Finn itself. So there is only one wish per entity.

I don't think his boss is the Cosmic Imagination, but I do think you're on to something by going meta. I think the Cosmic Imagination is simply the imagination of the *authors*, capable of imagining and creating a wide variety of possible universes. But I don't think Prismo's boss is the Cosmic Imagination itself, because how could the authors be mad about anything Prismo is doing, when they are writing the story? Unless he is simply being metaphorical for Finn's benefit, I'd guess there's at least one or two "layers" in between the Authors and Prismo.

Yeah that's true, you bring up a good point. In my eyes though, it's just another way of going meta. Technically, Prismo was the one who granted the wish that teleported Finn to the farmworld timeline, and that's where the animation mistake took place. So it's just super meta in my opinion. The writers "blamed" Prismo, aka Prismo's boss or the Cosmic Imagination, then it's his job to fix it. But yeah I might not have worked out everything, and there might be one or two more layers between the authors and Prismo that we don't know about

I think the Cosmic Imagination goes further than the writers. It also involves the audience. The people who watch, who theorize, who talk about the show and the characters, who write fanfiction and lore analyses and video essays. All of us, including the showrunners themselves!

This actually makes a lot of sense in terms of quantum theory, and the power of the observer in terms of quantum mechanics, as adventure seems to be leaning heavily into there being higher dimensions outside of our own, or even outside of the universe itself, being our world!

I think the boss of prismo and cosmic owl is Jake. If jake didnt dream prismo existing he wouldnt exist and in farmworld the reason prismos powers couldnt work was because the jake in farmworld was a normal dog jake is literally bending reality with his imagination like the time how everyone said hes the gut grinder he imagined himself becoming the gut grinder even though hes not. Every chaotic episode is jakes imagination just look back at the episodes

Glob? It's just a guess because that name is mentioned several times throughout the series. Like if golb is chaos and entropy, wouldn't that stand a reason that there's an entity called glob that's order and creation? After all we know glob can't be the one who created the multiverse because all he does is eat things. So someone's else has got to be making the stuff for him to eat right? My theory is that there is equally powerful entity called glob that's opposite to him and basically uses golb a universal trash disposal.

I always thought Prismo's Boss was the Creator of the Show or Cartoon Network

Idk, Cosmic imagination rather sounds like a force instead of an actual character. If anything, I think Prismo could be a representation of Pendleton Ward himself, a way to introduce himelf into the series. We know that sometimes authors like to introduce themselves into the series they create, like Akira Toriyama with Toribot. Inside the series, Prismo is dreamed into existence by a normal mortal human sleeping somewhere inside the time room's dimnsion, and in reality, Prismo was a character imagined, designed and created (in other words, dreamed into existence inside of Adventure's Time's world) by Pendleton Ward who is the series' author. Pendleton Ward (Prismo) could grant almost any wish inside adventure time, including the creation and destruction of worlds, because he is the author of the series of Adventure Time, but ultimately, Cartoon Network and Warner Bros also have rights of ownership over the series, so naturally, they would have to aprove, disaprove or edit the scripts of what Pendleton Ward does, so they would sort of be Pendleton Ward's boss when it comes to certain things related to Adventure Time, hence they would sort of be Prismo's boss.

This is all incredibly occult. In episode 4 you see the moon and Saturn making time waves and in the next episode you see a character looks like the demiurge or Abraxas playing the lead vampire. Anyone who is Gnostic would notice this immediately. There's a lot more going on with this cartoon Than People realize

My theory is Prismo is 3-dimensional, that's why he is presented as a shadow in the show... a 3-dimensional being's shadow is 2 dimensional as well as a 4 dimensional being's shadow is 3 dimensional, that's how he can manipulate reality and time at will since is in an upper dimension, exactly like we would do with a comic book. After the spin off series, I really subscribe to this theory. Boss is only referred to as they or them could very well be a hint that whomever the boss is they might actually be multiple people. So much of the last episode was fan base wish fulfilment too, I can see the boss being a meta narrative type of deal. That or the boss is just non binary and everything just happens to line up with this theory.

There is one reason why I think it can’t be the viewer. Prismo states his boss would be unhappy if Farmworld Finn escapes to the multiverse, if it was the viewer then that wouldn’t make sense, as it gives the Boss a distinct charavter trait that might not adhere to some viewers. I for one think most viewers would find it cool for a plotpoint to have Farmworld Finn go on a multiversal rampage. This to me concludes the Boss is a specific person

Prismos boss is a character as it self , because scarab boss had a phone call with a a character (the boss) , so it can't be us or the imagination

Prismo’s boss is Jake. Prismo the wish granter exists as the dream of the original prismo. When jake took the place of prismo in the bed, he already had met wish master prismo so when he dreamed him up, we was the same instead of a “jake the wish granter”but he is still JAKES DREAM. This explains why prismo and jake are so casual with eachother, why jake has reality bending powers, hell, and maybe why PRISMOS ROOM IS THE SAME COLOR AS JAKE.

I mean, I assume it’s just God. Like THE God. Not like Golb, Glob, Party God, or Prismo. The true creator of the universe/multiverse. A deity that created Prismo to fulfill a role and he wouldn’t like if he broke reality, directly or indirectly from making a wish reality that is going to break into the Multiverse. Though then the question is why wouldn’t he be mad there’s now infinite Liches after the events of Crossover. But this theory could explain that as we find it interesting and it isn’t a continuity error just story progression.

From what it sounds like, Simon never abandoned Marceline in that timeline. He scarified himself, but Marceline stayed with him ever since. So she never traveled the land of Ooo, and never met the vampires, and never turned into one. Because she spent all her days watching over Simon after he scarified himself. At least, that's what I think
