Decoding Athletes - Episode 1 : Danny Macaskill
Спорт
In the first episode I decode trial bike legend Danny MacAskill. Danny is to me the best human on a bicycle today. He comes from a trial bike background which is pathing through an obstacle course without setting foot to ground. But he took it to the next level and created a whole new discipline by bringing trial to the street. In this interview we did in the Red Bull Music Studio in London, we talked about how to get millions of views on KZread, his fears and getting back on the bike after multiple injuries.

incredible man!!
I started viewing the passing countryside, while on trips with my parents as a kid, as large jumps for me on a magically fast bmx bike. This transitioned as an adult to any angle or raised surface in an urban environment being viewed as an obstacle for my urban mtn bike. I did an urban street ride with an employee from my shop who was mostly a roadie with a little mtb experience, and after the ride she commented on the way I must view the physical world as being so different then most people. So Danny, you definitely are not alone there, even as age and injury have forced this type of riding out of my life I still get distracted by ledges, transitions, curves and how i could use them (if only my damn body could keep up with my skill!).
Modest and nice man :) Thank you Danny , keep up to be so awesome (and inspiring even for us who cant make even a bunny hop) :)
I definitely relate to Danny saying he pictures riding on random things in his mind, actually surprised to hear that Matthias doesn't!
Love Danny and his style. Just a good genuine guy, with a passion for bikes. No snobby attitude, no push for money. Saw his first video when I was 10.
This interview is so inspiring and amazing, great story and amazing rider. So much respect for this 🙌🏻
Great person. So humble. I hope to do wheelee one day.
It seems like his true love of riding rather than ambition for fame took him to where he is now. Deep respect to Danny ^^🙏
Awesome podcast! Loved it!!
Super intéressant, vraiment top d'avoir une interview de Danny comme ça ! Merci
