I found when i lived alone i could do this very rewarding, but it took me a while as when living with someone, they where a great hoarder, clutter clutter and more clutter from them!!!

@@BenitaLarsson That is the trouble with all those Black boxes, video players DvD players and so forth, and one good thing about streaming etc it does away with all those, unsightly nowadays, i used to think they looked nice in the past but not anymore, my friend has done away with all those boxes and how great the transformation now, so neat and tidy, i'm actually a minimilist, and just love your home its really superb thankyou for these inspiring videos, god bless!!

@@johnentwhistlesurelysamsun1840 Tell your partner he/she gets rid of some the things or you get rid of them and their things. That should get them moving.

I just want to encourage people that you can life clutter-free if you stick to it. I live in a very small home with my husband, two kids, two cats and a dog. Obviously our home is not as organized and clutter-free as Benita's is, but it is pretty bare and organized. We did a major declutter years ago, and now it's something that I make part of my monthly routine. Also, saying no to things such as excessive furniture, and all things not needed actually has also gone a long way also. =)

I was surprised how well it turned out and how sturdy it actually is!

Got rid of my TV ages ago. Have never missed it. Enjoy watching UTube videos, like yours and... far more. Feel I also learn more this way. Enjoyed this - Thanks Benita. Love from Zurich.

@@BenitaLarsson I don't have a television, haven't had one for about five years, but I love your idea, not for TV programs but for the art that can be on screen and for youtube as some videos would be more spectacular on a larger screen. No TV for now but I can see how to blend one in to the space without it being so obvious.

Agreat reply very nicely put, zurich is a lovely city and your airport kloten is one of the nicest in Europe as i have used it, as its not too large, keep the tv away as i got rid of mine never to occupie a space in my abode ever again!!

I absolutely love the clever way that you managed to hide the ugly box needed to watch the TV. I also find cables horrible to look at and hide them in similar ways to you. The way you hid all the cables underneath the TV shelf is superb. Cables are so unattractive so by hiding them, you make your environment more aesthetically pleasing. I have a mixer like yours which I do use a lot but it is too large for any of my cupboards and so it has to live on a window ledge of the kitchen with a custom made cover to keep it dust free when not in use. It’s so cute, right? I got it on eBay almost 15 years ago. It took a year until Mini and Bonus started using it but now they love it. It’s a great place to keep their toys too.

Always declutter is such a great mentality, it won't be a chore and you get to notice and fine tune little things. One day soon I will get there after my purging most of the apartment! I can't wait! Also that digital TV/art frame thing is so cool!!!

Love your solution for hiding the black box, genius 👌. We moved last continents last year and sold most of our things, including the TV. We have not bought a new one.

Great video -- I have to say I love my electric kettle and use it all the time. I have a juicer and a blender and struggle with figuring out what to do with them when not in use as I have little storage space. Many other things I've parted ways with long ago and I'm so grateful. I keep needing to work on it. Benita, you nail this perfectly - you're a pro.

Love it, can feel your passion when you're truly doing something you're brilliant at and creating solutions. The only video I didn't enjoy was the fridge one, as you are not a foodie, it's more of a chore having to organising all the stuff you have to live with. Totally understand how difficult it can be with IBS. I sometimes wish I could be a bit less into good food, would help a lot more with my weight loss journey😆 . When I feel hungry I come to your site to fulfill another desire, organisation and style (I'm not a minimalist, but totally resonate with your aesthetic, graduate and comfort approach to minimalisam), so I can forget about food for a while, if that makes sense.

i really love your creativity with the clever box cover and how you organized and pinned all of your cables. Your tv area look beautiful! I don't think our tv is going anywhere (thinking about minimalists that go tv free). I've played with the idea for a while, but at the end of the day I really enjoy watching a show, movie, or even youtube on a big screen and just having snacks and relaxing.

Hi Benita, I really enjoyed this video. I must admit that I do like to have my 'stuff' around, especially books, magazines and things that have special memories, but I've put the toaster and some other appliances away in a cupboard, so that's a start!😊 I hope that Wille's move went well and that he's enjoying his new place.

He loves it there! Still a few things to fix until he’s completely organized but getting there!

My husband just helped me out with the cables yesterday! We ordered a tubing that mounts on the wall and painted it the same color as our wall shoved all the cables through there and things look much neater!

So clever. Well done- Amazon is very frustrating for that.

Every British person is currently having a lie down at the mere thought of living without a kettle 😂😱 ... our television is just taking up space now (I don‘t even know how to turn it on although my husband does still use it sometimes). We are moving soon and my husband has agreed that we should find a better solution (I would love to be more minimal but I live with a magpie so every concession is hard won).

@@emerybayblues oh my...drop your stovetop kettle! Electric kettles boil so much faster. Check out charity shops around you (Goodwill, Salvation Army, etc)-there’s often one in there for cheap so you can give it a trial run.

Your videos are inspirational. I really dislike cord nests. I stapled a cardboard tube to the bottom of my desk and added an extension cord. Perfect! I tuck all of them there and the extension cord is behind the leg. I love to know I am not alone. 😆

Your videos are always so nice and soothing Benita! I had never heard of the Frame TV - it's a great idea as I hate the look of regular TVs. However, it's unfortunate that to use it in art mode, you are still using 30% of the power.

So good (interesting / encouraging) to hear that you’ve decided to “make do” without your KitchenAid. It is indeed a beautiful piece of equipment, and for sure, extremely useful for some. Every time there is a special offer on KitchenAids, I am tempted to get one. However, I’ve always resisted, because deep down, I feel that my handheld mixer suits my family’s needs just fine, and I don’t really have the counter space for the KitchenAid.

I actually hardly ever watch actual TV. I basically only watch KZread and Netflix and the occasional on demand show. I still prefer a bigger screen further away than a laptop so I don’t strain my eyes after being on the computers all day anyway 🤓

You just inspired me to finally do something against the cable salad in my living room. I hate it so much but became too lazy lately...
