Wondering why you planed down the edges? I am assuming it is to create a recessed edge? Also, do you use a cant strip along the house or do you just put the vinyl behind the siding?

I can't speak for all manufacturers but I believe cant strips aren't recommended these days -- shrinkage is a concern. You get the vinyl "finger tight" in the corner between the horizontal and vertical planes. And yeah the planing is just so you don't see the bump created by the thickness of the flashing.

Would i be able to use BONDO for filling the gaps before gluing vinyl on my balcony or anything else since i live in Canada and cannot find this Ardex Feather here Also would i be able to install new vinyl on a plywood that previously had vinyl glued to and i removed the vinyl and sanding the plywood would that be ok thx

Yes you can, might tear up some of the plywood slightly, but you can fill those areas no problem. In Canada we use thin set.

S/b a step down at the door so a driving rain doesn't get pushed into the house. Fatal error. Maybe a roof is going up, I don't know.
