That contraption is clever! I bet it makes the teach a little longer but I would guess that after your first game, it should be fine

Did Tom miss that players can attempt to guess at ANY time, interrupting other player's turns? This means that the "sitting around and thinking" at the end of the round - while it does happen - is time pressured by trying to be the player who actually wins. I found it could actually be more frustrating in 2 players, as the guessing player might be completely on the wrong track and there's no one else there who might have a more accurate train of thought to speed things to a conclusion.

Doesn't fix the problem he stated at 6:27

No, I know that you can guess at any time. But if no one knows, and everything is thinking hard, at some point the person whose turn it is has to do SOMETHING. But often there's just silence for long periods of time.

I just don't understand then how two players "fixes" this issue. It might take your guessing opponent just as long to guess it as in three or four players.

Couldn’t you just homebrew a timer rule to resolve that issue you had though?

He has stated numerous times he doesn't like to make rules or fix games. His biggest example against this stance is Carcassonne, which is the only rule change I have seem him address.

@@pfcravt TI has fallen off his top 100 I believe. I could be wrong, but I think he stated that. And he played for 8 hours only.

@@Steve-L that would be surprising but the point still stands about game lengths.

This looks like a fantastic alternative to hangman.

Tom misses a very important point here. The person who picks the word hands in the pieces one by one for the others to guess its location. So, there is more strategy than he showed here. This makes everybody active in the game.
