I wish we all could go back 1998 was some of the best years of my life

I was 21 and out on my own then. This takes me back to when things were so much simpler. Kinda wish I could go back.

I usually feel nostalgic when watching these but with how the world is now this hits different. I miss when everything was different

I can remember those 1-800-COLLECT commercials. Nowadays the concept of collect calls and ideal call times because of pay rate (not time of day) would be as foreign to today's kids as zoot suits and hand-cranked cars would be to children of the late 70s like me.

Wow. Even back then Burlington Coat Factory was more than just coats. Lol. I would have been 5 years old for this. It's interesting seeing these commercials then realizing how much trouble some of these brands are in now. Such a shame.

Actually, The elderly couple of the right, Mr. & Mrs. Laroche are still alive today. He is 103 and she is 101. Jk, I just made that up to lighten to mood a lil'

9:34 I remember when I was in my teens when this ad was aired in California, where I live, and thinkin "😠 Y can't MY mother B as pretty/fotogenic as her!?" 1 reason I unintentionally got her jealous, and I almost felt I DID prefer some1 else over her, even if it was a puberty thing, I can't remember. 😭 Another reason Frank Farian became 1 of me heroes, b'cuz of Y and how he got Milli Vanilli 2 lip-sync the record, feelin the real singers lacked a marketable image (though he was damned rite about the real singer Brad Howell--he's funny-lookin!). I felt just that way about my mother as well. 😭 Another reason I nowadays unlocked the term, "Did she Xpect me 2 B as smug as Narcissus?" Or how I as well thought, "What!? I got what she doesn't!?" (Just like the woman in the ad has what my mother doesn't.)
