    I really feel sorry for Dale. Something is off. How can you go from “retiring” to schlepping business cards at baseball games enticing people with $50 discounts. Really? That’s your business plan? Every time I hear a MLM’er tell me they’re retired, I take that with a huge grain of salt because their definition of “retirement” is different than mine. If I was retired, I’d be sitting in the luxury box lounge enjoying the game and the fellowship of my friends/family, not cold-call prospecting strangers at baseball games. 😮😮😢😢 Super Sad for Dale.

    I’ll just stick to buying and selling at local shows (free/low cost of entry), ebay (sales tax/fees),Twitter/Facebook groups, and paid discord services (community). The fallacy is that he’s bought and everything has or will gone/go up. It doesn’t work that way. I looked and he has one football card. Specifically in sports cards, big corporations (Fanatics) are already monopolizing/consolidating the industry. Also, I think he means Funko Pop and not shopkins 😂

    Dale appears very excited that "this has never been done before" and that, instead of consumables, his company sells collectables. But there's a big reason MLM companies have stuck to consumables and why almost all the billion dollar MLM companies sell consumables - it's what works inside the MLM model. Mind you, I'm not defending MLM, but for decades, companies and MLM leaders across the industry have stressed why consumables make companies successful. Getting distributors and customers on auto-ship for a monthly supply of vitamins or shampoo or whatever means ongoing residual sales. Finding customers who buy a collectable every now and then is a very poor way of establishing an ongoing income, and a great way to go crazy racing around day and night trying to find new customers...So, even if you believed in MLM, Collect Direct would be a dubious choice.

On another note, Are you familiar with the Watts family murders and the connection to LeVel MLM? It would make an intriguing show. You could create a ton of engagement because even though Chris Watts murdered his entire family a few years ago - the case and his motive and the role Level played in the toxic family dynamic still intrigues a lot people. • @sunny74763
    @sunny747635 ай бұрын

    The Dave dude he's talking about that has a warehouse full of collector's items was the owner of Valentus, a coffee/drinks MLM. Real question is, if he has such a valuable collection, why would he not just setup a simple e-commerce website and do some easy marketing to sell the collectibles? Why does the MLM structure even exist if the collectibles are so valuable?

    I got a couple takeaways about this legitimate MLM from this video. First of all it's super interesting they decided to go with collectibles as a product, which is literally the most useful product for money laundering since the value could literally be anything and you can make a legitimate looking margin on it lol. They're starting with $2.5bn from some guy's personal collection? So this guy is likely top 50 richest people on earth considering he spent $2.5bn on a collection (which would make it one of the highest value "collections" in the world)? Sounds more likely to me, referring to the first point, they're heavily inflating the price of the collectibles to make a massive margin on it. This guy named beanie babies, really? Those are barely collecting and rarely for good value. People in the 90s bought the shit out of them hoping they would become collectible, only for the market to crash because no one wanted to collect them. Perfect product to inflate value out of. Good luck selling $100 a month (or whatever the requirement to keep your rank is) of collectibles to retail customers. These items are likely going to be overpriced, besides he is underplaying how hard it is to connect a specific willing buyer with a specific, rare, niche item for that value. To keep your rank it seems it will be far easier to purchase these items yourself in the hope to resell them, or perhaps recruit people to buy those items from you or instead of you. EDIT also I challenge anyone that supports this MLM to show me articles older than 2 years showing a. How Dave Jordan made the money that allows him to own a $2.5bn collection and b. Dave Jordan being recorded as a major player in collecting, either as a buyer or a seller of a noteworthy item, or the owner of a noteworthy collection.

    MY TOP MOMENTS OF THE STREAM!!! 35:29 "theres no BV requirements, none of that" his company does have that so thats his first lie, 47:33 marco reads something from collect directs website and dale says thats not true, it is on the website right now so thats lie #2. 56:42 dale says that what hes reading and hearing is based off marcos preconceptions of MLM when it is literally on the website itself. 57:51 marco points out that the company has to be paid monthly to boost there PV (thats called autoship) dale just tries to deflect it by saying "but the word autoship isnt on the website" then says that its not even an option to autoship which is also lie #3. 1:00:18 dale rolls his eyes when all marco is doing is just reading the website. 1:20:42 marco points out that the entire company relies on 1 guy lmao. 1:21:47 marco repeats exactly what dale just said and dale completely denies saying that dave will have the item and not amazon. dale admits that dave gets the collectables from manufactures when earlier dale was saying that there are no manufactures and that collectables arent manufactured. 1:31:00 dale tries accusing marco of deleting comments to try to shift the topic onto him. and the entire time in the chat, some dude named "hereisphil!" kept arguing with everyone defending MLM and claiming that they are a buisness owner while working for someone else lol, then leaves being passive aggressive.

Pest control, home alarms, and especially solar are HUGELY successful using door-to-door, and many of their reps make insane amounts of money solely through their direct sales to retail consumers. It is insanely difficult yes but also insanely profitable if you’re willing to do it. I’ve seen this first hand myself and with people I know

    Marco, you don’t have to take my advice but.. I would advise answering these MLM peoples questions with questions only. So they could hear themselves think.. otherwise they just guna manipulate your questions “I never said that” .. “that’s your perspective” and all that .. oh man🤣

They're right because they think they're right its so twisted. and hes from the south ... so am i .... when he says "DUDE" to Marco its total disrespect its like calling him an idiot.

    MLMs with consumables shit on MLMs with non-consumables because the products don't need replacing. MLMs with non-consumables shit on MLMs with lotions and potions because people have brand loyalty and they are selling lotions and potions. Now we have MLMs with collectibles shitting on MLMs with consumables. When are they gonna realize that it's not about the product, it's about the business model?

    Most of the collectibles resell for over retail price. And there are tons of collectibles like sports cards that come out every day that sell out immediately. Unfortunately for Dale, that market is dead right now. It's sad to see that he doesn't know the answers to the most simple questions that Marco is asking. He needs to do some research on the market he's currently in. It's obvious that he's just trusting what someone else is telling him. Or should I say what someone else is selling him.

  • @BaddogSports

    The market is definitely not “dead” but it’s nothing compared to what it was in 2020. Anyone in the sports card market knew that market was not sustainable. Sports cards are right around where they were before the pandemic sent the market skyrocketing to a ridiculous level. Regardless, Collect Direct could NEVER compete with eBay or the higher end auction houses. Collect Direct’s inventory is garbage! And they sell cards from extremely low end grading companies like ISA & GMA.

    Unless he has a crystal ball, Dave, or Dale, or whoever, is taking a huge risk by purchasing a bunch of trendy merchandise and assuming that it will appreciate in value and there will even be a collectibles market for said merchandise at some future point in time. In all likelihood, it will be rendered worthless garbage. Very few things are collectible anymore. We live in a culture of consumption and disposal. Planned obsolescence. It's all about novelty and the fleeting dopamine reward of an impulse buy. There is no value in the product itself; there is always a shiny new object right around the corner to buy today and throw out tomorrow. And it's all happening on Amazon, not some antiquated website. The current generation now spends millions of dollars on intangibles like NFT's for god's sake! Even if we were to humor Dale by pretending to believe that he is not a scammer perpetrating a pyramid scheme, his "business model" is short-sighted. He is nostalgic for a bygone era. He is a dinosaur. Maybe they could manufacture Dale the Dinosaur action figures and create a new MLM scheme to sell them! I kinda feel bad for him. Also pretty sure Dave doesn't exist.

    It's very obvious that this guy doesn't know anything about the collectibles market. I sell collectibles for a living and the market has dropped by 10x in the last year. The only reason it was at $450 billion is because of the covid shut down and the extra money everyone was getting during that time. I guarantee you that the market isn't anywhere near that value in August of 2023 and it's dropping everyday. People do NOT have the extra money to buy pointless things like they did 2+ years ago. The guy who started Collect Direct has a bunch of junk that he can't sell so he started this MLM to hopefully get rid of it all. 😂

    No everyone does not start from the same place. If you get in early it's going to be much easier to build a downline. Sure you can join an established mlm and still build a huge downline, but that's the thing, it is soo much more difficult, and no everyone is not starting from the same place. Depending on if you have experience in other mlms, and maybe you have a pretty good reputation, or have already recruited and they join you in a different mlm. Where do you live? How many other distributors live near u? How many people live near u in general who will want to sign up or can afford to even become a customer outside a one time sale? What is your social media presence? Do you have one, etc.... the likelihood of building a significant downline is very low, but the ppl who accomplish it? The vast majority of the bottom recruits, outside a few directly under that top distributor, are losing money and will never grow to be a top 1%, n that's only if they have a significant downline. Otherwise even the top percentile are not making enough/losing. It's so frustrating listening to them directly lie and contradict themselves with such conviction. Honestly I couldn't do it, major respect having these discussions over and over. I mean smh 70% of this industry is a scam and your still arguing about its merits? And also so basically you have to be in the right place at exactly the right time with the right set of circumstances for it to turn out in your favor? How is that a good buisness model? Edit: also it sounds like he's describing an affiliate program your paying for? If I'm a collector why wld I pay for recommending anything? Side money, okay except why pay monthly for a handful of recommendations here and there? No point unless I'm putting in effort for a check, also the distributors being the collectors themselves eventually? So a pyramid scheme lol.
