Yes, ignorance is bliss as they say. Until the reality hits. And this reality isn't pretty. Prof Legutko is no different from the rest in the European Commission. He only creates the illusion. His speech is full of historical and factual inaccuracies. No wonder the EU is in deep s**t with its citizens so befuddled. You'd have heard by now from Ms Merkel admission that this conflict is NATO war against Russia using Ukraine as a tool. And that it was engineered and planned for at least a decade.

If we ended up with the likes of Legukto who must have been living under a rock with his brain switched off, we would need a lobotomy or take up living in a heroin haze. Though in reality, this man is as befuddled and morally bankrupt as the rest of the EU top brass. Soft brain and lack of spine must be a prerequisite. An embarrassment for the enlightened Poles.

First question as to whether you live in a democracy. If you are from the EU then democracy is a sham, the elected MP's do not create the laws, the Commission does. If your British, there is no real democratic choice both main parties are two cheeks of the same ass. If your American, please wake up and smell the coffee you're sliding down the slope of socialism. Maybe the English could rebel at the next election by writing Remember Oliver Cromwell on there ballot papers, if the huge number of people who do not vote could be mobilised then in some constituencies the number of spoilt ballots would exceed those who elected the MP, would send a message.

The people smarter then me keep saying limited government is the answer. But, the more the government grows and the more bloated it becomes the more power and money it needs to keep functioning. Seems like a confilct of interest. Government officials grow the government, trying to get enough power/money to "fix" issues that are non of their business in the first place, all at the literal expense of normal people who can't seem to find who exactly is screwing them over.

No-one can extract mineral resources from space and bring them to Earth efficiently, the cost would be prohibitive. Not at present techological level. Not even the US could do that. Sanctions (on Russia) do not harm food or oil, of course, but they harm things that Russia cannot manufacture, computer chips and many other technologies. Only USA manufactures that (Intel, AMD) and the sanctions makes it hard for Russia to get those vital components for their weapons.

What is more self-seving dear Legutko? To look out for your own citizens and countrymen, or to betray them, ruin their lives for the sake of another, which btw is not part of the union, the military block or anything else. Make no mistake. Whatever idea you hold on this topic, if you executed it to a net loss of your own people, then the only self-serving person in the room is you, and you should not only be held responsible for it, but also promptly removed from it. No votes have been held on this topic in any countries, but you saw fit to involve us all. THAT dear prof. Is where you start the debate on who or what is self-serving

Right now ,you have Russia wanting a neutral Ukraine and keeping territories that have joinedt he Federation and Ukraine wanting everything back as it was before. Don't you think sometimes there no solution except time? Time in the long run resolves all problems . The west wants to bleed Russia to death and Russia wants a safe and secure border . How do you resolve that ? It is like someone who wants to kill you and you want to defend yourself ? what is the solution to this probem? And don't use the argument that a71year old man after 22 years in power suddenly fell off his horse and wants to build a new Russian Empire .Really infantile thinking.

@@edvsilas254 I didn’t say that. I agree with you. The reason that the US is and can bleed Russia forever is two folds. 1. They don’t like to see Russia invade other countries (especially if Ukraine has value to the world, like food etc. 2. They want Putin out.

8 months ago that might have been true, and, to be honest, if all that Ukraine could count on was EU it might have remained so but... US has not the same restraints than EU, and the constant flow of sophisticated weaponry has helped the extremely resolute and brave Ukranians to turn the tide of the war. From "having time on his side", Putin has ran out of time... But, to give him credit, one thing is correct. We cannot efficiently wage a war by merely defending. It is time to take the war into Russian territory...
