@@hundredpercentxI actually think independents offer the best point of view sometimes as they are not emotionally involved. I’m an LFC fan and I still think there’s a chance we get Alonso. I think this was put out there to remove distractions from Bayern. But if not that sporting coach looks really good just worried a bit by the language barrier.

It's a good argument though. He didn't just stop them drinking and eating rubbish, he put them on good diets and other managers at the time weren't that serious about it. Wenger was a trend setter and his legacy doesn't have asterisks to it, unlike Pep and City.

I personally don’t think Xabi Alonso will manage Liverpool in his career now. If you think about all the clubs in the world, Liverpool are the only club who don’t become available bi-yearly or every 5 or so years. Liverpool clearly going for a young long term manager too. If you think how quick football changes tactically, will alonso’s football, resume or his own circumstances fit in 10 or so years? Doubt it.

Unpopular opinion. Chelsea don't need much investment at all. They need maybe 2 or 3 captain personalities. When you look at their squad, there's a lot of talent there, but they just need those captain mentalities around the squad that keep the standards high, as well as being proven winners. A new Thiago Silva type stalwart in defence, maybe two. A forward that guarantees them 20+ league goals. For me, they're extremely dangerous with those. A harderened, battle proven midfielder (look at Endo for Liverpool).

It will be tough for any manager to replace Klopp on Liverpool, although the club is in a great shape with amazing team and so many young prospects and talents. Bayern is a mess and the club doesn't wait too much for any new coach to make a positive progress. Thus said, Alonso did the right thing, he will win the Bundesliga this season and the next one will lead the club in UCL.

Amorim is less unknown quantity than Alonso. Sky and their workers don't seem to watch football outside of England, so I'm not sure why this crew are being given this topic. In 4 years, Ruben Amorim has overachieved insanely like Alonso, but he has also failed, and rebuilt. That is not something Xabi has proven yet. We first need to see how Xabi deals with adversity, and I think in his time, Amorim has done more in that department, which would benefit him in the long run.

Why isn't Unai Emery been mentioned?. With klopp going, Emery would give Pep and Man City a run for their money if he came to Liverpool . Emery is a world-class manager, and with much time and money given to him at Liverpool, he could win us a lot of trophies.
