This Inter is slightly better than last year’s Napoli. Both are probably one the best sides in each clubs history but we got figured out towards the end. Both teams on their day were/are unstoppable but this Inter are always on it. Not that it takes away from what 22/23 Napoli achieved but something like that makes the difference in such a debate. Two very different approaches but equally as effective

Forza IFTV! 👊🏿🙏🏿, cant wait to dive into the whole episode. This is actually a fun debate i had with someone on twitter some weeks back. I think both teams are great in their own right. And its nice to see how different they play. Coz Napoli under Spalletti played the more entertaining maverick football and are probably easier on the eye but Inzaghi's current team is such a tactical well oiled machine in a more classic throwback style to a team that can kill you with goals but also be incredibly tough to break down without being inherently defensive.

@@joshuafabia1689That game at San Siro wasn’t the real Napoli. If you look back at the season coming off international breaks we were very poor especially our friendlies during the WC break. That was a Napoli that completely lacked rhythm. Then the second game meant nothing. Unfortunate that it wasn’t a great showing in either match

@@TheOnlyTapsWe only played poorly against Milan and the first Inter game. Milan had our number with the game plan each time, which is why I hate that we drew them in UCL because the semis would have been very possible. Every other big game was a victory. Double on Juve + the 5-1 win, double on Roma, double on Atalanta, double on Lazio, split with Milan and Inter in the league. Saying that team didn’t show up in the big games isn’t totally true

@@matteocasale12 Nope mate, That was real Napoli. That is definitely the Spalletti mark. Luciano Spalletti teams usually overperform in the first part of league until the midseason. Every team Spalletti trained in these years (Roma, Inter) always struggled in December, January and even February. Napoli was able to win the championship because of WC break, actually. Because the break in December gave Spalletti the opportumity to have another trainig cycle for condition improvements (like the one you do on august before starting league) right in the moment his teams usually perform at their worse. That was the reason Napoli could make a good run in those months, until they were too tired and eventually started losing points after 25 matches. But it was too late for other to catch them.

Pete is trying not to be bias, man just say it no matter if you are an inter fan. This inter is the best inter ever and is without a doubt better then last years napoli. With all due respect to napoli, they were amazing last year but this inter is just a different animal

Napoli lost a lot of big games last season to Inter and Milan. Napoli got off to a hot start while everyone else Inter especially struggled early. Napoli struggled BIG TIME after march.

Anto is right, this year's Inter looks like Real Madrid those 3 consecutive seasons they won CL, it's like all games are training games, other look like they're giving 100% Inter seems like 35% and it's a win. Hope Inter does something to justify me comparing them to the best team in 21st century, but they resemble that at least t0% without the trophies

Peter is the only voice on this podcast worth listening to for his analysis. The rest is just a fun frame to it. Love it anyway ❤

I have to go Napoli . But both were /are on insane levels . Inters defence but I go Napoli goalkeeping and Napoli mid and Napoli forwards. Also spalletti over inzaghi . Not by much in any department tho! Let’s see how the final stretch ends to really compare . Inter fatigue caught up with them making CL semis and I don’t think inter will have that problem so I can argue for inter once we get to that stage .

Pioli uses Okafor as the sub for Leao and Chuck as the sub for Puli. But, a better situation would be to use Okafor as the sub for Giroud/Jovic and swing Puli to the left for Leao and bring on Chuck. Puli is better on the left than on the right.

one thing i always think about when there is this comparison is that last season napoli had really no other challenger for the title,like juventus had the point deduction,inter had 12 losses last season,milan started with a good season only to have an horrific january and lost so many points the last one remaining was lazio that had a good season but they were almost 20 points behind, no disrespect to napoli who had a fantastic season, this season though can you even blame milan and juventus to not keeping inter pace?

Well, Inter midfield has been not as good as Madrid's one and Inter finishing is so poor they need a lot of chances just to score one goal. In the end we appreciated also the lack of penalty takers, except of Hakan. Inter need to change a lot of players to dispose of good alternatives to the starters. When Dimarco and Bastoni came out there were no quality at all with the ball on the left side of the pitch. The injuries of Arnautovic and Carlos are too much for this team and we could see it clearly tonight

Let's say this: Napoli 2022-2023 after 28 matches had already 3 losses: its first was against Inter at 17° and the latest and worse was against Milan at 28°. Inter 2023-24 to these days (28 matches) was only beaten by Sassuolo (and still Inter deserved to win that game). Raw numbers also are better for Inter, scoring more, defending better, including all players in the scudetto run (Napoli was relying on 3-4 key players and without them they just were not able to win) and acting more like a solid team with a solid tactics. The feeling is that Inter is better and still has place for improvements.

As of now last year Napoli was beautiful and better but let’s see inter might finish stronger
