Walkthrough of the Eamon RPG/text adventure 034 "Death's Gateway" (Apple II ProDOS version) written by Bob Linden, released c. 1983. eamon.wiki/Death%27s_Gateway
In the below text solution,
* Notes are in round brackets ()
* Instructions such as “W x 3” for example mean go west three times.
* As this is an RPG, exact melee instructions cannot be given in advance due to the random nature of combat. So combat instructions in asterisks such as * ATTACK BAT * should be expanded to run any number of commands at your disposal to either pacify, defeat or escape the opponent(s). For example, SMILE, READY (weapon), ATTACK (opponent), HEAL, FLEE, DRINK (potion), BLAST, etc.. Including sometimes following enemies into adjacent rooms to finish them off. The exact method does not matter as long as the end result is that you can continue the walkthrough unhindered.
