This was one of the coolest runs I’ve ever played on any Tide game. Its something I’ve wanted to do for quite awhile, a full cinematic run with “some” semblance of real tactics, room clearing, disciplined volleys, bayonet charges, shovel shenanigans, and a cohesive 40k theme to it. This one wasn't really meant to push the difficulty, its just regular Damnation. There will be lots of insane Auric maelstrom missions coming soon. It was all about atmosphere and immersion taking in the sights and sounds. The Lucius pattern lasgun is absolutely bonkers right now with Deadshot, Crits costing no ammo node, Surgical, and Onslaught. Some really great moments throughout, from a Beast of Nurgle being cut apart by coordinated lasfire, multiple bayonet charges, a breach and clear through smoke, and the neverending fun that are Krak Grenades. As for the skins themselves, they look great, they’re a very solid representation of Krieg. But I am obviously not a fan of the price hike for less content. Previous packs that cost less had more items and weapon skins. Fatshark need to do a MUCH better job of quality control (clipping, bugs, and hair removal issues) and of providing value in their cosmetic packs. Which means weapon skins for the shovel and Lucius, dongles, and the “premium” hats need to all be included in the bundle, not separated out for even more money. And the timing (while naturally good for them from a business perspective with high player counts), is really not ideal from the consumer side. They still have a LOT of goodwill to earn back from the community, and immediately jumping into price gouging at the first real opportunity is a bad look. Penance gear and more earnable cosmetics need to be more common moving forward. So far this has been a very solid update, but there’s still a lot of work to do to fix the crafting and insane grind, and add maps, weapons, and additional content to make this game a classic.

As a brand new player who started yesterday I would say this gameplay shows me an advanced version of the gameplay, atmosphere and immersion that has instantly drawn me in to the game and helps to make me eager to progress. Very cool👍

But thats part of the fun, there's a lot of room to grow, get better, and get stronger via the skill trees now. And those Maelstrom modifiers will be waiting for when you get good enough and want to take the plunge

A shame. I'm a new player (level 21 Vet) and I wish there was more teamwork. I've wiped many times on Malice difficulty because the team was spread all over the map when an ambush hits 😢

i play in SA servers, and people here are quite coordinated, it definitly plays like a L4D; sure, you have some that run around by themselves, but only in the lower lvls @@SordidusFellatio

Sometimes you get those every-man-for-himself lobbies, other times you get ones where people talk in chat *in-character* to the class they're playing and overall turn out to be very reliable teammates And now the game has a "cheer" voice command not unlike DRG's ROCK AND STONE thing, lol. A true morale booster!

I love how their voices are muffled by the masks. I can only imagine that these rejected Kriegsmen were just the most talkative ones hehe

All you're missing is to crank the volume of the character's voices way down so you can charge at them in complete silence, true Krieger style Edit: this is factually incorrect. Kriegers do talk, just with gallows humor and not frequently to other guardsmen units

Actually as far as i know Death Korp of Krieg Just storms into the enemys. ITS rare for them that you can see them operating like this. But i also think they trained to operate like this in areas where a Frontal Assault cant be done.

They're a professional Infantry force, if they need to advance methodically they will do so. If they need to rush forwards they will do so. Situation and context dictates behaviour, They're not stupid. Don't fall into the ridiculousness of either believing the memes or thinking that they'd behave exactly the same way, all the time, everywhere they'd go.

@@kamatong Notice when some of them say/yell "for the Emperor/Atoma", it's not always random or based on ult usage but there is a voice mod that allows for this. Don't know why it's not in the base game, it's an absolute must for immersion.

@@MorteWulfe I played Eternal Crusade and it was unballanced mess. If you played as Imperium you got it basically on hardmode. Eldar got weapons that completely blinded you ,orks got crazy zapp cannons and chaos was just spam of that Abbadons autogun which had busted dmg.

What i love the most about this is the players actually crouch when they know their team is firing from behind them, and proper stack ups when holding positions. It's rare i see that when playing with randos, they usually run out in front of me after I've taken up cover and strafe around making it hard to target anything but their backside

Man, HUDless Darktide looks REALLY cool. Surprisingly immersive. This is really neat! And there's something so very 40k about WW1-style soldiers with wood-stock laser guns that sound like really angry volleyballs when shot. It's so...man, this game is cool. X)

Are lucifer blacks in the game cosmetically? Hard to imagine one being in darktide but then again, as bodyguards of very high officials in terra, one wrong _look_ could get you buried most likely so who knows

Everything about this video makes me so happy, to the breaching to the squad coordination down to the Sargent even having the different headpiece to the power sword signifying there station in the guard. 10/10

the KRIIIIEEG of the crop! i love the part where they said "its kriegin time" and krieged all over the place. this was super cool to watch, and the coordination was impressive. only thing i could put against it is the class overview was a little quick, i had to pause and go back a couple times because i missed the skill descriptions

Kriegsmen being a cold efficient killteam is definitely up there in the guardsmen wet dream tier list.

If the hellbore mk III also had the stabby animation on the secondary it would be perfection.

What I like about the Lucius pattern is the "feel" of the shots - every time you pull the trigger, is almost like the weapon "screams" the same word: "Hate... Hate! Hate! HATE! HATE!"

I think this game is messy to watch but I bought it after the update and I have to say... it is a blast to play!

There is a bayonet rush, just on the lighter 2 versions of the gun. It increases your movement speed by 50% whenever you hold down the weapon special while charging

Can't wait to have access to the weapon customization mod I know the Vraks MKII headhunter autogun really needs a sight on it because the irons can be a bit cumbersome to use.

i totally forgot that weaponcustomization mod was a thing thank you for reminding me.

What the name of this mod ?

I find it funny, I realized when playing once, that your character can have a rebreather or a gas mask that either changes the sound or muffles the character voice but if your power is a shout or something that involves the character to say something their voices sound normal. I just thought it funny enough to mention because you can never not catch it after you realize it, every time they shout.

Sadly I'll never get cosmetics for my fav style veteran cause my fav regiment is barely talked about, was only in a super old game with undetailed sprites, and there's like one (really badass) concept art of them... the armageddon ork hunters
