All this talk about Ben and Zoe, whether his music was better before or not, you can tell that he was happier with her. More happy than I can recall. You see the evidence in his lyrics for most Codes & Keys. It was upsetting to hear that they separated. I think she wanted to separate more than he did. He told Rolling Stone That he was always a fan of her's, and that he was just glad that she even talked to him. How heartbreaking to find out that the person you love doesn't love you anymore.

I don’t know. Most of Ben’s work is more heartbreak than blissful love. He’s a bit drama. Pre Zoe, post Zoe, Ben still finds his craft. It’s when Chris left that I feel shook Ben the most. It’s just different now.

I always enjoy their acoustic versions more than the studio's, because it really brings out Ben's beautiful voice.

I like how Chris presses that one key at the end.

I disagree with both of these comments. Their old stuff is AMAZING and they're newer stuff is also AMAZING.

God...this song turns into the saddest of all songs, when it used to be so hopeful and happy. He looks so sad

I have always contested that this is a cleverly hidden sad song. Stay young go dancing is like one of those lame wedding advice cliches and in contrast to the lines "oh how I feel like the winters advancing" I have always thought of it as a slow dissolving of a relationship, where they are hanging onto every scrap of advice they can.
