I remember watching this live and going to school the next day where everyone was talking about how good Mariah was. These were the pre-internet days where everyone would tune into big award shows on TV and then chat about it the next day in the hallways. Miss these times!

90's best music hands down. Soft rock was excellent also. Elton John, Wham, Simple red, Air supply, Foreigner, a few . Motown off the chain Otis REDDING, percy sledge, Marvin Gaye, I can go on and on Whitney,Boys to men Patty Aretha. Today I'm sick of lack of music

Sorry, you are hearing a studio track. if you look closely you can see they're actually lip syncing...it is not the live audio its dubbed, it clearly says dubbed in the title that's why its sounded like the studio version. I guess they can't sing this perfect during a live performance, a lot of people didn't like the live version when they saw it that is why someone dubbed this video.

@@shockwave9282 a dub means they really sung it, the dub was added after the fact to provide clear audio for listeners of the video. But it's their real voices and I've heard all these artist sing live and they're vocal ability is definitely genuine

A tribute is not meant to be exact. It's a tribute. The point is to do it justice. We need to stop complaining and enjoy it. Don't leave boys to men out they made this song too.
The undubbed performance was extremely soulful. Mariah gave her all that night despite the technical difficulty.

Those are the times where you really show if you’re any good as a performer that people should pay attention to. Prince’s Super Bowl Halftime Show in the pouring rain, while dangerous with all the electrical equipment, turned out to be epic. You just have to make these things work to your advantage and show how good you really are.

@@nikkostaana Well clearly there are really good live singers but 95 percent of them aren’t really exceptional. They just sound good and there’s nothing special about their ability to sing. Then there’s the other 5 percent who have pipes and aren’t pitchy when they sing.
