When I started powerlifting I felt like power is all that I wanted. Then I noticed that there is nothing amazing or impressive about a big and thick or even fat person lifting a lot of weight unless it's 3 or more times your own weight. You cannot even begin to call yourself strong until you can deadlift 3 times your own weight. After I won a couple of my competitions I switched my training to powerlifting/bodybuilding and thats when everything changed and my numbers started to go up even more. I used Stan Efferding's training methods as he was the strongest bodybuilder/powerlifter in the world who actually competed in both sports. Now to see a person half the size of a big and thick or fat person pick up the same or even more weight and aesthetically looks good, that's very impressive to see !

Question about the block height; why so high? Are these primarily multiply competitors? It seems like it’s too high for raw lifters considering how much it changes the starting position from the bottom. Genuinely curious
